Why I still question this issue, it is fascinating,

chalk it up to I just want to know.

And for the umpteenth time

Why does he keep it hidden?

Well yea, that too.

The Democrats are selling us down the river, and the republicans are letting them.

I promise to go away when Barry produces his Occidental records. His whole adult life is a contrived mess. You can blame his mom and dad for that. His mother passed him around like a bad head cold.

LOL...apparently you live in a world wher ebing elected President of the United States represents some sort of failure in life?

And your hatred of him extends to his deceased parents?

Nope....No altered reality obsession here....wow.

I have nothing against the man's parents. If you can really call them parents. His mother perhaps but certainly not his father.

I read his book "Dreams of My Father". Did you? It is all there in black and white. It just depends on how you interpret his own account of his life. In his book, Obama would want you to believe that all was hunky dory.

I found it odd that he named a book after a father who abandoned him as a baby and only saw Barack once or twice between the abandonment and his sudden death in 1982. Yes, his mother moved him to Indonesia and sent him back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents while she returned back to Indonesia. His GRANDPARENTS raised him on and off through his high school years.

Still, it would be the constitutionally correct thing to do.

For a change ...

America,

the only country where citizens cared so much about their president's Personal life.

If anything, I'm sure he's flattered you are so concerned about his parents or his birthplace (even though he was indeed born in America).

Let's say you come to my house and say, "You didn't pay your electric bill in December of 1988."
I say, "Yes I did."
You say "prove it."
So I go and dig through my attic and find the bill and the canceled check and come back to you and prove it.
So you leave and come back the next day, and say, "You didn't pay your electric bill in December of 1988."
I say, "I just proved that I did yesterday."
You say, "I don't believe you. Prove it."
.
.
.
To Infinity.

And this is what is going on now with these birthers. This stuff has been thoroughly debunked, but they just keep pushing it.

Why? Deep down it is a political dirty trick promoted by the Republican Party. They know that those who are prone to hate and fear Obama for whatever reason (yes, racism is one of those reasons) will latch onto anything that will allow them to question his authority as President.

So it is completely wrong, but it will go on and on. The question I have for you, the birthers, is this: are you willing to continue with this clearly unethical tactic which is damaging this nation? If so, how do you sleep at night?

This is exactly what I have been saying since day one. Whats happened now is that people are using this birther stuff simply to undermine confidence, they know he was born in America but there are lots of gullible people out there who will fall for it because it supports their worldview. You just have to look at what happened during the election to see how far people will go, do all of you remember the woman who scared her own face and then blamed it on Obama supporters?

onlinejournal.com...

Yet another odd way to be transparent.

It would be so simple to lay this to rest. I can only speak for myself, but if the original long form BC was verified as being legitimate, I would be satisfied. Why can that not be done? What is the problem? What purpose does it serve to keep all this info about B.O. under lock and key.

OK, birthers, hitch your star to the guy the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) lists as one of the 15 most corrupt members of Congress, for trying to influence officials for personal gain.[4] According to the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Deal "personally intervened with Georgia leaders to preserve an obscure state program that earns his company nearly $300,000 a year." Since he's running for governor, he wouldn't have an agenda, would he? And consider he represents North Georgia, the most incest damaged, meth addicted place in the US. When I fly over N Ga I maintain at least 5,000 feet AGL to avoid getting scum on the belly of the airplane. Deal is a corrupt idiot - line up behind him.

Let's say you had a business trip scheduled and you went to the airport and showed your Drivers liscense and passport to the check-in attendant.

Everything is hunky-dory. Then the strange guy behind you in line shouts "I don't believe you" Let me see your drivers liscense.

You pause for a moment and then hesitantly say "OK" and show him your drivers liscense. He then asks for your passport and you pause for a moment and show him your passport.

He looks at you like you are a terrorist...as a matter of fact he calls you one on the spot...and starts screaming to everyone how he saw you "bump fists" with your wife and child before you got in line.

He asks where you were born and you humor him and tell him. He says he still doesn't believe you and declares your passport and drivers liscense a forgery.

He starts loudly ranting to everyone how you remind him of Hitler.

Then he starts passionately telling everyone in line how he saw you have a friendly conversation with the "muslim looking" guy behind the counter at the airport bookstore and screams to the crowd, "do you want to ride a plane with a man who is friends with a "muslim"?

You point out that the man behind the counter was in fact Hindu, not Muslim and you are not sure why the mans' religion matters anyways.

The man screams..."how did you know he was Hindu and not Muslim?"
You say, "well I have travelled in that part of the world and know the difference".

This statement only seems to deepen the man's disdain for you and he says "Really? When precisely did you travel to that terrorist infested region of the world."

The check-in attendant tries to calm down the irate man in line by explaining that she thoroughly examined your ID and they are valid and the man responds by screaming "you are in on it!"

She calls her manager who arrives and trys to calm the man and asks you for your ID again...he checks it over and says it is valid..

Then the man screams "the manager is in on it too" and starts to yell about how you are going to blow up the plane. You look like Hitler...you have terrorist friends, your ID is fake...

What do you do?

You ignore the crazy man and get on the plane. You get on with your business and stop talking to crazy people.

He is not hiding anything.

He just stopped talking to the crazy person.

And with this...I will follow his example...as always enjoy the thread
I hope it sates whatever need drives this kind of rhetoric.

Peace and hapiness in the new year.

Well unfortunately for you, that isn't good enough.

Why does he keep it hidden?

Privacy? Because he can? Who knows?

This is the exact same argument the government uses about people who don't want there phone calls eaves dropped on. Well what do they have to hide, What do YOU have to hide? Are YOU a terrorist. You get it.

The point is that he's shown valid form to proper authorities, if he had not he wouldn't have been able to become president.

The only evidence the birther side has is circumstantial and documents that have been proven FRAUDS. So I don't see how anyone within the movement has the moral authority to be arguing that the president was not allegedly born in the US when the movement itself has put forth fraudulent documents themselves which was a BIG mistake on there part and ruined there credibility.

You can ask why he's hiding this, why he's hiding that. My guess it is a political game to keep the hard right wingers distracted from the issues that have an impact on our life. Whether it be Obama or McCain or Pelosi as president I assure you things would be exactly the same.

The fact is that unfortunately Obama was democratically elected, people had the chance to get to know everything about him over the 2 years before election day, and they made a choice, I don't agree with it along with much of ATS, but the law is the law, and the law is that he was constitutionally elected, he met the legal requirements to become POTUS through the agencies that verify the said legal documents, thus he became POTUS, we can speculate on the circumstantial but everything is within the law as far as I can see in this debate.

Unless someone can pull an Obama Kenyan bc out there bum then this argument will continue in circles for many years, Which I think is the purpose of the whole bc mess anyways.

We should have more discussion on Ron Paul articles on here, I myself wonder why Ron Paul doesn't talk about this often, probably because he knows there are more important issues to be discussing than these circular arguments that are going to go no where.

Well in that case you would be correct. But in this case you kept having your uncle down the street make you up reciepts on his computer and show it. You never did show the original. So why would one believe you.
You keep saying you went to your attic, but your uncle is the only one showing up with anything.

For all the people that believe Obama has proven his eligibility I have a question to ask. What proof has been offered that you feel leaves no room for doubt?

When all the birthers start posting THEIR birth certificates, I'll jump on their bandwagon. Until then, I'm all for protecting privacy. C'mon! Put your information up on the web! Quit hiding behind that anonymity that you're all so protected by. Lets see who you REALLY are so we can pick apart YOUR lives and see what skeletons YOU have in your closets...

That's what I thought... If you WANT privacy, you GIVE privacy. Effing hypocrites...

The certificate of live birth and then confirmation by a government representative will do just fine. If I was really worried, the word of the hospital administrators saying that the certificate was authentic would be good enough for me.

Most people do not have the job of representing an entire nation. There are different expectations placed on someone who has the power to affect so many lives. I think the above statement makes no sense.

I work at a Casino and at any moment I may be asked to show my gaming liscence to prove that I'm eligible to work on a gaming floor. I do not have the right to deny the people that hired me or the regulatory body a look at my gaming liscence should they choose to ask for it every five minutes. I am only eligible to work in a casino if I have that liscence so I feel it only fair to provide proof that I am eligible regardless of whether or not I feel it is unwaranted. Is it too much to ask that the POTUS have at least the same standards.

Well, they need a good laugh like anyone does - which would be the only reason they come here!

Questioning a president's eligibility goes back to Lincoln, and Van Buren.

the only reason Obama's eligibility is being questioned is because he is black. That is a fact the "birthers" cannot hide

Is there any grey area with a certificate of live birth that has been issued by the state of Hawaii? Can someone not born on American soil obtain a certificate of live birth from the state of Hawaii. Does that remove all doubt about this issue?
