Good one!

And arsenic is prolly okay now too?

To be fair, ammonia is a naturally occuring compound.
Yap, kinda like that arsenic is...

While a little bit may actually be good for ya,
alot may not be.
Of course its better than e-coli I guess.....

Shouldnt be too hard finding a farm co-op around.

Check: www.localharvest.org...

The meat is typically more expensive but it's worth taking up a third or fourth job to make it work. Once you eat the real stuff you'll start having to choke back puke just walking by the big grocers meat section.

It's worth noting that often you can get your vegetables much less expensive from the co-ops thereby taking some of the pain out of the meat prices.

Plus, squirrels are better for you than chicken. Fantastic protein to fat ration though the cholesterol can be high. And bagging one deer a year can keep meat on the table for a family of four for months.

No real reason anyone has to eat out or buy from the supermarket.

Your Child's Food? Feeding your child fast food should be considered a form of abuse.

Simple solution to health care in America: Stop eating crap.

Its a good thing I stopped eating at fast food joints a month ago. Its also A good thing that Iraqis here eat meat that are all natural, but their sanitation skills are garbage

the mob did this years ago,,,,, except i think they used formaldehyde to make the rotting meat look fresh again

the mob controlled who'[s meat was sold into local supermarkets and of course found a way to pinch every dollar they could,,,, hence selling bad meat for full price

also,,,,,, frank purdue was in with the mob,,,,, his chickens were pushed into the local markets after he made quite a nice payoff to the mob

i know,,, i know,,,,, little old sweet frank perdue and THE MOB!!!
who would of thought

frank was quite an entreprenuer ehh????? using every advantage he could to succeed,,,, the mob was a great marketing and placement tool

ps,,, from food inc. there's only 13 major meat processors left in the usa,,, down from 1000's

not much choice where we get it from

bad meat, preservatives,,,, HFCsyrup,,, and gmo foods,,,,mouse poop in our chocolate,,,,,,,,, we're screwed every way we turn

Thanks for the great comments everyone!

Shortywarn brings up a good point!
I remember when I worked at a grocery store.
We were required to spray the hamburger liberally with
a preservative to keep it pink looking.
I believe it was sodium nitrate.
(it may have been formaldehyde)
Of course, that was illegal to do
because we were told it was!

Whenever it was about time for inspection,
the bottle would mysteriously disappear.
The reason was to keep the hamburger fresh looking.
People would absolutely refuse to buy it otherwise
even though it was all the same.

This was years ago, not sure if they still do it,
but I'll always remember having to do that.
Yuk. I feel queazy now too.

I would rather have uncontrollable bowl movements (a.k.a diarrhea) then to have some window cleaning chemical injected in my food. I really am started to doubt humanity. What are we gonna do in 2012?

Well that explains how McDonalds can sell a double cheese burger on the dollar menu. The meat is all the crap that they used to throw away..Yuck.

am i surprised no, do millions of americans eat this crap everyday, yup. is anyone dying from it, no not really. the avg. life span keeps climbing, people eat all kinds of crap everyday so i dont really know how it makes any difference. if people found out what they put into their mouths, im not sure anyone would eat anything..
