I will no longer chase the carrot that dangles before my face.
TPTB hold it and I am done chasing.

I saw the carrot clearly with what recently happened on WallStreet.
The roots of which can be traced back to February ,1871.

Let’s go back in time,

“The date is February 21, 1871 and the Forty-First Congress is in session. I refer you to the "Acts of the Forty-First Congress," Section 34, Session III, chapters 61 and 62. On this date in the history of our nation, Congress passed an Act titled: "An Act To Provide A Government for the District of Columbia." This is also known as the "Act of 1871." What does this mean? Well, it means that Congress, under no constitutional authority to do so, created a separate form of government for the District of Columbia, which is a ten mile square parcel of land.
What??? How could they do that? Moreover, WHY would they do that? To explain, let's look at the circumstances of those days. The Act of 1871 was passed at a vulnerable time in America. Our nation was essentially bankrupt — weakened and financially depleted in the aftermath of the Civil War.”

So what was going on in that aftermath?
“The Civil War itself was nothing more than a calculated "front" for some pretty fancy footwork by corporate backroom players. It was a strategic maneuver by European interests (the international bankers) who were intent upon gaining a stranglehold on the neck (and the coffers) of America.”

www.serendipity.li...
Stay with me, now.
Where is it that YOU have heard about “corporate backroom players”?

Hmmmmm?

Anyone?

Wall Street.
These people don’t change, do they?
Corporations control democracies.

Anyone care enough to see my point?
Why were we all outraged with what they did?

Apparently it’s nothing new.
Just bend the rules ; hell , just make new ones!

This won’t stop, people. This is evidence of it, it just mutates and comes out in some other form.

They’ve been doing whatever they wanted since the beginning!

They’ve been like this the whole time!
The carrot is the lie that the US Government has you believing.
It is the lie that the American Government is not bought and paid for.

I will no longer chase the carrot that dangles before my face.
TPTB hold it and I am done chasing.
It's all about the money.
Follow the money.

Don't dare flame me with how you "knew it all along"

If you had insight then please share it respectfully.

Saying "who cares" or "what's your point" would mean that you were unlike the majority of Americans who stood in shock and awe as they watched 401k's dissappear, their lifelong savings drain away, and the housing and stock markets crashed.

In other words if you get this thread then please share your ideas and feelings with respect.

I understand your thread, and believe your points have valid probability.

The only problem for is that there are many other points and they also have greater/lesser chances of being right in my mind, so I can not necessarily just pick one theory and believe it.

Whoever has the most power will always be pulling strings somewhere. I think that money (or whatever form power may come in) will always be the cause for anything that happens globally.

Fair enough. You'll no longer chase the carrot

What will you do ?

Also, you've negelected to include the other half of the equation, re
'carrot and stick'

Don't you suspect that stick is poised --- ready to deal with those who've dismissed the carrot ?

They've always had the stick in reserve

Most people buckle to one or the other

Yes, someone will always be pulling the strings.
One of my main points is that if we follow the threads of history; American history in this case, then we can minimize the effect that TPTB have upon us.
To know the actions of a repeat offender is to prepare for the repeat crime.
The repeat offender in this case being the US government.

The part of my mind which was once spent thinking about the ideals and virtues behind this Republic is now no longer living in an illusion.
Now with that much more of my mind being freed I can apply it elsewhere. ANYwhere else.
The carrot having the stick is a given.
The one who holds the stick holds the carrot technically.
I didn't know I had to be so technical with a metaphor.

The stick you are thinking of is not the one that holds the carrot.
It's a different branch entirely.
