Time not right for new Iran sanctions: Chinese envoy

China's UN ambassador said Tuesday that the time was not right for new sanctions against Iran over its refusal to halt sensitive nuclear fuel work, and urged more time for a diplomatic solution.

"This is not the right moment for sanctions," Zhang Yesui, who chairs the UN Security Council this month, told reporters.

He stressed that current diplomatic efforts to find a peaceful settlement "still need some more time and patience," echoing a view expressed by the Chinese foreign ministry in Beijing

So how will the Iran issue play out ? Seeing how China has a U.N veto unless they can be made to change there minds then it's a safe bet they will simply veto any sanctions brought forth in the U.N .

Given how well the Chinese economy is doing there is very little that the U.S has to bargain with . Sure there is Taiwan but the Taiwan chip will most likely not be played until a situation is created where the U.S has difficulty paying there interest payments , assuming that day ever comes .

So how will the issue of Iran be brought to a head ? Well it seems either Israel will try and deal with them or the people of Iran may bring forth a revolution , if the reports from Iran can be trusted .

What would happen if the U.S said to the collective world , its your problem deal with it . How would other countries react ?
