Hi Haydn - I'm in Evesham. We had 19cm here. Deepest snow since I moved here in 1999! Just shows how poor recent winters have been

hey, I have a question, why are there balloons in the garden?
I know you said not to ask, but that just makes me more curious.

Therein lies the problem, we can't cause of the snow!

I'm in Wokingham, Berkshire myself and in places, it is over 2ft deep!

There likely to be a serious forst tonight (maybe down to -8c) with a risk of more snow on Sunday.

Just like winter's used to be!

I loved the vid. Fun to look at England! Wish you talked more so I could hear the accent. (Americans love English accents.) Very, very attractive and it looks like you are having fun despite the weather.

This is not true. As an american, im personally not big on british accents. Americans love Aussie accents. they sound so funny!

No snow here, but I could skate on my swimming pool if I wished. Frozen.
Second time in the 12 years I've lived in this house.

I am in Kansas right now, and it is ridiculous. Thursday is expected to be -22 degrees with the wind chill. I haven't ever experienced this type of cold ever, let alone in this area! We've already got about 8 inches of snow on the ground with another 4-5 inches expected between Thursday and Friday!

I thought a key premise to the global warming debacle, was that weather like this was to be a rarity? Well, haveing the worst snow storms (throughout much of the world) on record doesnt seem to support the idea that the world is unnaturally warming due to anthropogenic warming.

Is it true that you guys think we all have posh accents?

I'd love americans to hear the accent round where I live

Wouldnt be difficult, they stand out a mile against that snow!
I just like that they're all just sat there, pretending they're on water.

I have no idea what a posh accent is... And I cannot stand the Irish accent. Talk about a turnoff.

Well, it could be worse, you could have a bunch of hill billy sounding M'F'ers living around you. Kansas accent generally isnt to bad, we have the "weatherman" accent. but I swear everyone and their brother from Oklahoma is slowly creeping into kansas distorting our accent into some inbred sounding #. (no offense to Oklahomans.)

You could literally pick on off at a time, and they would have no clue what was going on! lol

Whattt.. irish accents are brilliant! Even if you cant understand a word they're saying..

Well, this video demonstrates the accents some americans seem to think we have -

Posh

This is the wonderful (
) Mansfied accent -

Not so posh

I havent picked that accent up due to living in different parts of the country most of my life, so I have a messed up essex/birmingham sounding accent. Like this -

Even less posh

Im not sure which is worse, that or mansfield. Oh well, rather that than Welsh!

Its easy, just say 't' instead of 'to', and completely lose the word 'the' and you're done

*Edit - can we please consider the state of some of the people on the Mansfield video, hills have eyes anyone?

Some of those pictures are insania personified. Clever Trevors!

I say you rebuild it to its former glory! Why should it have to change just because the masses don't like it. I thought it was wonderful as it was

I know exactly what you mean about Lamebook. It's amazing entertainment but anyone of us could fall victim to it. Especially at 3 in the morning after a heavy nights drinking, we've all had a mare from time to time.

But I will continue to laugh at them until I become one of them

I swear its colder tonight in Notts than it was last night. People are still driving about like maniacs tho. I slipped on black ice earlier, didn't fall luckily, but dont drivers have to actually be able to think to pass the test these days?
Accents: I've got a good mixed bag of one from living all over too. I dont think Notts would be hard to imitate. Its not that far from a Yorkshire accent, just tone that down a bit & call everyone "duck"!

They are, there's some very disturbed individuals out there. I hope they sent the winning picture to the guy who had the 'encounter' & advised him to use that depiction of the fish-man in future instead of his own drawing, which looked like it should be a character on spongebob squarepants.

If my snowman doesnt suffer any fatal injuries overnight I may build a castle around it!

I keep expecting to see something by me on there. Namely a status I had up a while ago saying 'Ashlie is breastfeeding her cat'. Obviously wasnt, I was just in hysterics over reading a story in a magazine about someone doing that.

Rreally want to send this one in. An old profile picture that I had to delete when family members started adding me!

'The proposal'

Not disturbing/unhinged in the slightest.
