Hers something that I been watching and trying to figure out. This is nothing to do with right, left, republican, or democrate. President Obama stood in front of the world and said he is a christian, ok, well than he stood in front of the world and said he believes in abortion, which is totally against what the christian faith, the world let that slide. Heres something I see noone talking about, and hasn't been brought up, I notice before he was elected, last year at christmas time the media was at his home in Chicago, they was doing some live news shot, I didn't see any decorations, not even a wreath on the door, so I thought hmm, thats strange. Now right after that I seen an interview they done with him about stuff, and he said something off that struck me, he said that in their house they dont exchange gifts, well ok thats odd but ok.

Now as we all know people from around the world decorate the whitehouse for christmas, craft makers and so on, its a big deal and has always been a big deal, ok so I watched to see if they done it this year, and well yes they did, however, heres the thing, President Obama and his family went to Hawaii for "vacation" during the whole christmas and New Years celebration. Now to me, and who is a non-christian, I know that for christians christmas is huge, and all I am saying is something doesn't add up with this guy's so called christian faith. Why not celebrate it at your home in chicago if you don't want to celebrate it in the whitehouse?..Heres the kicker, no media was allowed to do any interviews with the Obamas about christmas, or how they celebrated it in Hawaii, call me crazy, but Obama is not a christian, pay attention to other things he saids, it doesn't match up with what a christian would say.

Who cares what religion he is?

I'm sure it it doesn't, or well it shouln't for that matter affect how he is going to run the country. We know he's a liar, hell he's a politician.

Obama was raised as a Muslim, and goes out of his way not to criticize them.

The whole Christian thing was purely political.

You are confusing the Christian faith with the church of Rome faith

he said that in their house they dont exchange gifts, well ok thats odd but ok.

do not believe everything you read, he certainly exchanged gifts with his children and sister

President Obama and his family went to Hawaii for "vacation" during the whole christmas and New Years celebration.

a very normal practice, for 15+ years we never had a Christmas at home, we always went away over Christmas...

Why not celebrate it at your home in chicago if you don't want to celebrate it in the whitehouse?

Why not celebrate it in Hawaii... how many Americans would have jumped at the chance to celebrate christmas in Hawaii?

no media was allowed to do any interviews with the Obamas about christmas, or how they celebrated it in Hawaii,

souece for that claim?

call me crazy

ok, you are crazy

And of course, YOU are the decider as to what's Christian or not.
Jeeez, enough! We have been suffering through this kind of crap for two years now! It MIGHT have had some relevance during the campaign, but Obama WAS ELECTED despite this kind of tripe.
Post what you want, but you might be happier on some "christian" message board. I'm sure they would give you the attention you seek.

Thank god this post is total tripe, because if the OP was correct, it would be against the constitution for Obama to be president, right?!

Didn't give x-mas gifts, what a bunch of crap.

www.cbsnews.com...

(AP) President Barack Obama is getting "sports stuff" for Christmas. But the president, an avid golfer and basketball player, will have to wait until Dec. 25 to find out exactly what it is. First lady Michelle Obama gave away that hint Tuesday during a trip to the Children's National Medical Center. She visited privately with young patients in the heart and kidney unit, then came downstairs to the atrium to read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" to dozens more. Daughters Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, helped their mother deliver that dose of holiday cheer, along with family dog Bo, who sported a red-and-white collar with sleigh bells. They walked him around to meet many of the sick children. A hospital worker followed closely behind offering squirts of anti-bacterial lotion to anyone who had petted Bo.

One child wanted to know what the president would be getting for Christmas. Mrs. Obama at first joked that she couldn't talk about her husband's present because her daughters, sitting beside her, would tell their father. But Mrs. Obama relented and said: "It's good. I got him sports stuff." Sasha started to say what she and her sister got him, but the first lady interrupted. "It's something he likes," Sasha said.

And here is how the thought that Obama is some kind of evil monster got in your head:

Earlier Tuesday, however, the president said in a radio interview that he and the first lady decided several years ago not to buy each other presents. He said the only Christmas presents he needs from his daughters are hugs.

Wow, what an awful person. He considers the best gifts to be hugs from his kids. Wow, stop the presses.

Mrs. Obama said the family planned to do what it has done for many years and head to Hawaii with a group of friends to celebrate the holidays. The president was born on the island and lived there as a child. "

One difference for the Obamas this holiday is the number of Christmas trees in their new house. Mrs. Obama first guessed 24 after a third child asked how many, then an aide whispered that the correct number was 26 trees. " Unfortunately, you don't get presents under all of them," Malia joked. Mrs. Obama's visit to the children's hospital continued a tradition of first ladies that dates to Bess Truman. Mrs. Obama also gave out frosted cookies in the shape of Christmas trees and dog Bo to the children.

Oh my god! OH MY GOD!!! Hawaii is a muslim country right!!?? RIGHT!!??? I'm so scared, what should I do!!???

And there's only 26 christmas trees in the white house??!! Isn't 26 a super secret special muslim number. Or maybe 2+6=8, which is the same number of days as hanukkah, which PROVES that Obama is planning on destroying Israel, because, um, he doesn't want the rapture to begin.

I swear man, if Jesus would come back, I bet he would just shake his head sadly at the thought of your ridiculousness. In the mean time, I will do just that.

This whole topic is a frickin' joke, and anybody that perpetuates this slop deserves to be taken about as seriously as the ultra religious Taliban. If you want to live in a christian country with your brand of sharia law, the USA is not where you should be living:

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

-- Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia, 1781-82 (capitalization of the word god is retained per original; see Positive Atheism's Historical Section)

Christianity neither is, nor ever was, a part of the common law.

-- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814, responding to the claim that Chritianity was part of the Common Law of England, as the United States Constitution defaults to the Common Law regarding matters that it does not address. This argument is still used today by "Christian Nation" revisionists who do not admit to having read Thomas Jefferson's thorough research of this matter.

On the dogmas of religion, as distinguished from moral principles, all mankind, from the beginning of the world to this day, have been quarreling, fighting, burning and torturing one another, for abstractions unintelligible to themselves and to all others, and absolutely beyond the comprehension of the human mind.

-- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Archibald Carey, 1816

The proscribing any citizen as unworthy the public confidence by laying upon him an incapacity of being called to offices of trust and emolument unless he profess or renounce this or that religious opinion is depriving him injuriously of those privileges and advantages to which, in common with his fellow citizens, he has a natural right.

-- Thomas Jefferson, "Statute for Religious Freedom," 1779. Papers, 2:546

No man [should] be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship, place, or ministry whatsoever, nor [should he] be enforced, restrained, molested, or burthened in his body or goods, nor ... otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief ... All men [should] be free to profess and by argument to maintain their opinions in matters of religion, and ... the same [should] in no wise diminish, enlarge, or affect their civil capacities.
-- Thomas Jefferson, Statute for Religious Freedom, 1779. Papers, 2:546 (see Positive Atheism's Historical section)

Our civil rights have no dependence upon our religious opinions more than our opinions in physics or geometry.
-- Thomas Jefferson, Statute for Religious Freedom, 1779. Papers, 2:545

The OP, and people that buy into that type of crap seem to know as little about their professed religious leanings, as they do about the foundations upon which my country was founded.

Best,
Skunknuts

well maybe its about time we start getting less religious leaders in the oval office, i think its better for our country. Also if he did just lie about that it was something that had to be done to win the election... A huge majority of America is christian and only vote for fellow Christians so he needed those votes...

PS. Better grammar would be appreciated

LOL, we both characterized the OP as tripe. Not to mention that the whole focus on turning x-mas into an orgy of materialistic consumerism is about as opposite to the message of christ that one can get.

Maybe the OP is a troll, and he is just trying to make christians look like constitutionally illiterate simpletons.

I happen to like Obama, but I doubt whether he is a died in the wool Christian and do not care. I do not think religion plays an important role in Obama's life at all. Like many other politicians, Obama may poke his head in a church for a photo opportunity and that is the extent of his connection to Christianity.

Many deeply religious people find it difficult to believe that there are many people who can live a fulfilling life without a religion. In this sense, they are like today's teenagers who cannot fathom a life without texting and Twitter. Just as many of us lived and continue to live fulfilling lives without texting or tweeting every 10 seconds, people like Obama can live fulfilling lives without having any meaningful involvement or tie to any religion.

So which is it then? Did she give him 'sports stuff' or do they not buy each other presents? See you can never tell what is the truth with a pathological liar and narcissist. Did I imagine some clip of them being interviewed by Oprah where he said in true narcissistic style that he 'tended to give much better presents than he ever received'...much to the dismay of his wife. So it would not surprise me if he was on a prayer mat 5 times a day...except as he probably imagines he is above God himself I don't suppose he would even bother to bend his knees, except to the King of Saudi Arabia of course. You have an insane person in the white house. It is a sad indictement of Americans, that you have not even noticed.

No, abortion is not against the Christian faith. As a matter of fact, the Bible says nothing about abortion - not one freaking word - either in the Hebrew Bible or the New Testament. Abortion and birth control were practiced in the ancient world that the early Christian church developed in as was infanticide. Early Christians were exhorted to go to the dumping areas for babies and bring them home - not to be adopted, but instead to be raised as slaves, albeit Christian ones, who would be taught that their highest good was submitting to their master and mistress. Augustine (you know - St. Augustine) had nothing against abortion provided that it took place before the soul took up residence in the developing fetus. That was the standpoint of the church up until roughly the Renaissance. Today, different Christian sects hold widely differing stances on abortion - from not ever for any reason to a woman has the right to make choices about her own body. I am frankly pleased that President Obama is willing to uphold the law of the land which permits abortion and allows women and their health care professionals to make decisions about either the continuation or termination of a pregnancy. It is no reflection on him either being or not being Christian. But than I'm not a Christian and it would not bother me one little bit were President Obama not a Christian. Just remember that the Constitution (you know, that document that you all so loudly proclaim to love) states that no religious test will ever be required for holding office in the US government - something that I thank all the Gods for.

I will agree that Obama is not a Christian, but he is also not a legal immigrant let alone qualified to sit in the presidency. We have seen Obama cover a symbol representing Jesus and he does not pledge allegiance to the flag by holding his hand over his heart.

Obama is a complete misrepresentation of what he claimed to be before getting elected. Now that we know he isn't a Christian we should also agree that he isnt honest, moral or a man of conscious. Obama is paid professional actor that reads the prompter. He will tell you he is whatever you want him to be and he wont argue with you. He is nothing but a paid puppet that reads the teleprompter. He cant answer honest questions and has lied on so many pre-election promises that Obama is now considered nothing but a paid disinformation agent for the masters that control him.

Obama not being Christian should give Christians cause for concern, but I contend that Obama and his minions will bring themselves down with their inability to do anything with any competence. Obama is a joke and as for his religion we will probably find out in the near future that he is in to Lucifer. Who knows, but a Christian he is not. He's not even a decent Muslim let alone a decent human being.

Obama will reap what he sows and so far he's only sowed the seeds of discontent. We will see the fruit of his efforts and it wont be long before we see Obama for exactly what he is. An evil man doing the evil of other evil men. As such Obama is nothing but a sack boy doing the bidding of grocery clerks. Obama could care less what we think and he displays this attitude every time he gets in front of a camera. We could do better, but not until we get rid of the corruption and those that use corruption to line their pockets with taxpayer money. Lying politicians and corrupt corporations must be forever removed from our government because until we do they will continue to rob, cheat, and lie to the American public. They will continue to corrupt our form of government as long as they remain and when the corruption is complete he will usher in his Socialist takeover and change America forever into the dark vision he has for America. On this last item I think Obama is rushing to achieve his evil plan by whatever means he and his evil minions can muster.

Some people say they follow this or that religion, but just because they were raised that way. That doesnt mean they actually practice the religion. Here in Brazil most of the population is catholic. My brother, for example, is catholic and he travelled with his friends during x-mas. So what?

Not all christians are alike. I was raised catholic and I am in favor of abortion. True, I am no longer catholic, but I was in favor even when I was. Soooo what? As for exchanging gifts, that has ZERO to do with religion.

So, yeah, maybe he lied about his religion. But if he is a christian, I wouldnt find his attitude a little bit strange. And if he lied, well, I am not surprised either. He is a politician. He tells people what they want to hear. YES WE CAN!
