Maybe they want to keep people inside their borders for some reason? hmmmmm.

I have pondered the idea of the dismantlement of the airline industry, similar to the auto industry. I did not conclude it for the odd reason of trying to restrict citizenry to within one's borders.

Interesting idea.

Why do you twist words? “very high probability a US airliner will come down.”

That does not equal a promise.

TruthSeeker, you are absolutely correct. A "high probability" and "promise" do not equate to one another.

Twisting words? Doctoring headlines? Not so much. ATS T&C require posters to breaking alternative news threads to cite the headline verbatim from the original source. Since I don't work for Infowars.com and did not author the article, I was bound by the others' headline.

Welcome to ATS....looking forward to your ongoing participation and responses.

One less outfit to worry about when taking a trip, eh?!!?

You may be on to a business idea here Quickfix. Although, there would be no way to racially profile anybody now. Who would the Feds pick on then???

Which race is being profiled here, exactly? The term keeps getting used in reference to the tighter security regs but this is not a racial issue.

Its a guy on a TV show sounds like you are the one with the hate inside. He doesnt speak for me so say what you want all you like. When people create terror and terrorist acts the world scorns the usa for not doing enough when we do what needs to be done to keep people safe then we are also scorned. It seems people see a platform to push their anti american agenda and role with it have you ever heard of Al Sharpton

He makes his living riding the band wagon.
Do you really think there will be strip searches on all 18 - whatever age males of any descent your kidding.
I reiterate its a TV show not the end of america

oh and before you judge i dont like Obama i hated Bush both of them and the government makes me sick with their spending and lack of compassion that aside its still the best country in the world to live and work in. All this NWO crapola is just drama to fill the void in peoples well boring lives none of it can be proven and what is often offered as proof is just unfounded third party here say.
I only heed warnings that are real not panic cause someone thinks this could be it. America is the only country in the world that ever trys to help we always step up first then the sissy countrys france england the UK for the most part ride our coat tails free of blame until they feel we can be made their scape goat. Theres a reason people want to come to America cause its the best place to live work and be SAFE from ......

Nightwatchman, take another gander at the original quote in my opening post to read the retired general's Fox News interview. He said Muslim men between ages 18-28 should be strip searched.

That would be racial profiling. No?

Up here in the turgid, defacto capital of Canada (America's "Mini-Me") the papers are informing that they want to start putting people through full body scans at the airport. These scans will really put the canadian bacon on the counter. Personally, from now on I walk. I don't fly.

The situation does however clarify the quality of people we have looking after the nation's security. I'm only speaking for myself but if I was taking a test and given two choices as alternative solutions to the underwear bomber incident;

1. Listen to the guy's father when he tells you the guy is a nut and put him on the "no fly" list.

2. Scan the entire flying population's naked butts (except for the kiddie porn endangered) and ramp up the whole totalitarianism in America quotient.

I'm going to take choice one. I'm amazed there was even a choice two considered.

Does anybody else but me think there might be a whole other agenda going on here? Are people really so dumb that they think enhanced (to the point of a straight jacket) security is going to block all lunatics from hurting people? These people are already known for using children to carry bombs, etc.

Wake up America and Mini-America. We're being screwed.

I cringe when I hear these type of politically motivated predictions being aired in a pretense of "expert-ism". Its become kind of food food-ish for politicos to do this and many can see right through it, its either an attempt to gain favors or to be liked by a clique this guy wants to be with or, he was paid by some agency, person, group, politician to go out and make such a claim.

Maybe this was said somewhere else but, its the same as saying "sometime in the future I'm going to have to stop at a red light".

I only see one problem with this. If you profile "Muslims" I assume you're doing it visually or by their name. No matter how much you profile, there will always be a "James Smith" that looks nothing like a typical Muslim boarding a plane with explosives. Profiling does nothing but harm innocent people. Why would anyone with a Muslim name, looking like a Muslim bother to even go to the airport if they knew security would be strip searching them? It's nonsense. You can't tell someone's religious beliefs by looking at them, or by knowing their name.

UHH Your serious no one ever said ... wow people create what they wanna hear. So if i understand you we should just let the suicide bombers right on through security so we dont offend anyone they can search me all they want if it keeps me from being blown into little peices. Unless youve invented a psychic brain scanner what would your solution be. ?? no security? or would you call for lax security and then blame uncle sam when something does happen.? Whats your angle this isnt the sixtys your fighting the wrong battle. its not about civil liberties its about public safety your family included and mine and i know i would want the tightest security when we all are boarding planes and other public transportation. Or is it just cool to be PC??? Been noticing that a lot on the site lately .

First of all, I want to clearly state that the General's suggestion is ludicrous because there is no "profile," that can be used to visually spot a Muslim. How would he propose this plan of his be enforced?

Secondly, Islam is not a race it is a religion. So if you want to suggest this is religious profiling then you would be correct. It is NOT racial profiling.

And I should I add that it seems there is an acceptable level of anti religious posting on this board since I regularly see all sorts of insults being hurled at Catholics and other Christians so I'm not sure why the same cannot be done toward Muslims.

But I digress...

Did you just skip to the end and not notice my previous posts?

Incase you did, let me give you a refresher.

The U.S. Corporate military is in a foriegn country killing people for profit.

1) if you expect people not to to be pissed, your dead wrong.

2) don't expect being attacked, your dead wrong.

3) public safety is an oxymoron, you are never safe. no argument.

4) i never said anything about relaxed security at an airport, maybe the scanners that can see through your clothing are a bit much.

5) if you didn't know 9/11 was an inside job, you need to do more research.

just my 2cents....peace

No true Muslim can in good conscience support America or any Western Judeo-christian based civilization. Their book calls for the conversion or the death of infidels. There is no middle ground. Jihad demands blood and always has throughout muslim history.

Wow, this is so untrue. Yes, radicalized muslims pervert the Word to call for death, but you are very wrong that a "true Muslim" calls for the conversion or death of infidels. Where do you get this? Malkin's talking points?

Open your mind and read this:
www.themodernreligion.com...

Therefore, we should ask ourselves first, before we are asked by anyone else, what is the truth? Did Muslims really force others to convert to Islam? Is there any evidence for consistent forcible conversion throughout the Islamic history? As a matter of fact, there is no such evidence anywhere in the history of Islam. Many distinguised Western historians have attested this fact-- foremost among whom is Sir Thomas W. Arnold in his book, "The Preaching of Islam". Also there is Marshall G. Hodgson in his book, "The Venture of Islam", Albert Hourani in his book, "A History of the Arab People", Ira Lapidus in his book, "History of Islamic Societies", L.S. Starorianos in his book, "A Global Hisotry, the Human Heritage" and many others. In fact, there is substantial evidence to the contrary. We have already seen in a previous *khutbah* that Muslims were often seen as liberators of the oppressed people everywhere.

I know, written by a guy named Mohammad so it must be lies... except he actually has citations which you do not.

In fact, in my studies at a major (Jesuit) university I learned all about the spread of Islam in its early years (as well as spread of Christianity etc. Did you know that when a land was conquered by Islamic armies the native people were given the choice of conversion or not. The only catch was that you could only practice your religion in your own district or neighborhood and you had to adhere to the laws of the territory which were Islamic. In other words, you could remain Jewish or Christian, but you had to adhere to the law of the land and could not contradict Islam. There was an option for peace here. I am talking sometime around the middle ages when land grabs were happening all the time anyway.

Please let me know if I am wrong and show me a citation or proof that all true Muslims believe you should be converted or die.

The government makes the most money stealing peoples insurance after the people die. My proof, go to a graveyard and tell me, is the name on the head stone in all caps or not? I can bet it is all caps like JOHN E. DOE or JOHN EDWARD DOE. So i find killing for profit repugnant, it makes me wana puke.

The best way to prove 9/11 was an inside job is, look at the remains of the twin towers. If you see a steel beam cut at a diagnal angle, you know that the tower was demolished.

WTC 7 had no fire and you can go to youtube and find a video of it just sitting there, then all of a sudden it collapses, when no plane hit WTC 7.

If the U.S. Corporate military wasn't in a foreign country, there would be less attempts to blow stuff up.

Case and point...namaste
