Is that very black cloud with a brown spot an ash cloud going over Wales?

Just wondering - is it worth taking the conversation re Eyja / Katla etc over to the eruption thread ? A lot of similar discussions on both.

Anyone care to chime in on this thread?

I thought that - but - maybe with this sort of discussion - where we are watching and not to get the mass who are looking for information as to what is actually going on in the here and now and are frightened - though here was a better place - if you disagree, I will certainly take it over to the other thread.

I download the plot every 30 minutes so I am aware of the situation. It is still not significant in my opinion.

The is an increase in the 0.5-1.0 tremors which is probably magma on the move, but then it would be in an erupting volcano.

No, because it is a load of nonsense. What is on the cams is snow, not ash.

These volcanoes are at green. One minor earthquake does not an eruption make. If you look at some of the other cams you will see there is rain, and anyway most of them appear to be stuck in time! Several have been showing the same picture for the past hour or more.

This webicorder does not look like an erupting volcano to me.

Thanks!
Perhaps you should let those in that thread know your input on the matter.

Well you can go there, but I am not. This is the volcano thread.

Vodafone has banned IP addresses outside Iceland and now posts pictures here hourly.

I am very annoyed about this. It really is not the same thing at all. I hope you will all go on and voice your complaints. At least we should get the pictures in Ireland, Norway and England. We have to suffer their ash.

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

*sigh* I know you weren't responding about the thread I mentioned just now..

would you mind if *I* went there and quoted what you said with your link? (full credit to you) You seem to be quite knowledgeable about this subject both here and in the quakewatch thread... Your info would be useful to the not_so_bright on the subject like myself..

Puterman, I was not insulting your graphs - as you well know, I live for them!! and, I Love Them!!! Just the one you posted appeared to be through the 16th! and we all know, sometimes I miss things !! Is this another time thing??? On a different note. Not only are the cam's giving up problems, I have also found that alot of information to is being blocked. Now, I do not know if this is new or if this is old. But, I will be most concerned if they start blocking the tremor maps which - every single one I am looking at does not look good.

Observe carefully the bottom of the graph. That goes to just on the start of the 18th UTC.

I have to agree however that is difficult and confusing with the 12 making it look like 1 day i.e. the 16th when actually it is 2.

You can bet they will shut those down so that only ashmakers can use them as well.
