I think its funny that she spit on herself, how appropriate.

Is your wife afraid to be at home by herself now? I would be if I really believed that it happened.

Her reaction matches the more strange aspects of alien abduction/visitation:

1. Feeling repulsed at the sight of the entity.

2. Overwhelming feeling that the entity should not be in your personal space.

3. Falling asleep shortly after or completely ignoring the fact that something crazy just happend.

So i can't completely discount your story.

But i do have a question...Has your wife expressed any recent interest in the subjects of aliens or ufos prior to the experience?

I believe you and based on a minimal amount of personal experience I found her reaction believable too...

In fact, although a few people have suggested the spitting is almost laughable, and used this as a reason to deny any plausibility I can say that as far as I'm concerned the 'gray's' have an effect on people that can only be described as reducing them to an animallistic, fear driven state of mind...

(also, they may sedate stronger subjects who are likely to put up a real mental, spiritual or psychological struggle or on the other hand the shock she experienced may have caused her to black out, which she mistook for falling asleep later on).

And as a result actions are not exactly rational.
