problem is that words categorise wrong,

a christian preaches we say
but what does a convinced atheist do ?
he also preaches

in fact, everyone who cares,
cares for others,
will preach

thats why jesus said 'what you confirm with your mouth'

it means CARE

important is that every preaching has an open ending
to improve the preaching.

now, some will say i do not preach, wait until your open eyes
see something that in your view is unhuman, you will react
and preach as opposite to ignorance

and those that preach condemn each other,
those that ignore, have their peace.

Love is not always peacefull in this world,
thats why jesus told us 'i also bring war'

turning the other cheeck means seeing
everything from 2 sides, seeing duality.
making negative into positive.

scientific really shoud be, mean 'the best you can find out'
it means until logic declares all other possibilities wrong,
you need an open ending in every declaration.
yes in what i say right now too.

logic means there is an absolute truth
that truth can not be confined
except by itself. it means free,
except by its own absolutism,
which means it includes what it is not.

Logic and gods truth is very simple,
honor and ego (I without the WE)
keeps it far from people,
because it is very difficult to admit
truth can be found written on
one piece of paper, then
in a million books.

truth works as nature...it climbs high as a young mountain,
then it returns to the earth, old and low, one with the earth.

I often put to atheists this way Dig.

In the end, when we have both solved the great mystery, there is no way, I won't at the very least be as happy as any atheist, with my choices in life.

on what are you reacting ?

to explain something there is always a generalisation in words,
not in the spirit of the saying ..

there is no way of explaining something, for example your thoughts,
without generalising, important is to know that that is not always black/white.

Maybe better i would have said,
In teachings originating in the spiritual traditions.

I'm not attacking anybody, but even those teachings
are misunderstood as the gospel and the torah is.
Every word in this world is dual. Your point of view
decides the interpretation, not the word itself,
thats why the books are almost all misunderstood.

would i have waisted my life trying to live the way that jesus taught would i be waisting my time trying to help any one i can would i be waisting my time trying not to judge and treat people the way i would like to be treated would i be stupid for forgiven people that try to do me harm would i be waisting my time trying to spread love and kindness ...

Hi digby.
If you are wrong and the atheists are right, then it would be no different than if you were an atheist who spent time helping, not judging, employing the golden rule, forgiving and spreading love and kindness. These are not exclusively Christian attributes, they are HUMAN attributes. Many people who don't believe in God share these attributes of kindness, love, generosity and acceptance.
