Quantcast GOP poised for comeback in midterm elections

All 435 House seats, 36 in the Senate and the governorships of 37 states will be on the ballot in November. Democrats are favored to retain the Massachusetts seat of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in a special election Jan. 19.

Some of the Democrats' most prominent figures, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher J. Dodd of Connecticut, are in serious danger as they seek reelection. Both would probably lose if elections were held today.

Obama is the most unpopular president at this point in his presidency in 50 or more years. Pork spending is the highest it has ever been. Everyone is unhappy with TARP, Stimulus, Obamacare, the historic deficits, incredibly long, unpopular, complicated bills never read but nevertheless passed in less than 72 hours as promised!

How could anyone want the party in power back again?

Democrat hopefuls head for the exits in record numbers in apparent shame!

GOP gains in the House and Senate are likely to end this little blip in the Democratic power grab/ pork spending!

The big question is obviously: Where will the GOP/ Independents take us? What is their battle plan? More of the same with a different flavor or honest change from the Democratic reckless path?

If you're talking about continuing & maintaining any kind of partisan politics in the US government, then my answer would be "more of the same." The reason being that history proves that, no matter which party is in the majority, government grows bigger, more Rights & liberties are violated & the government gets deeper in debt to the Federal Reserve.

The only change that will make any significant difference is that all of the government officers actually abide by their Oath of Office, severely downsize the government overall & stop playing politics. It's not a matter of political parties, not a matter of conservative vs. liberal...It's a matter of LAW!

Most Americans would be in favor of that! Representation, honesty, openness would be a welcomed change!

There will be a drastic shift in party leadership after the 2010 elections.
Will there be positive change or gridlock? I think the smart money is on gridlock; but with the continued wars and corruption in favor of the corpratracracy; you can just forget about any honesty, openness, transparency; but at least perhaps some of the conservative whining will stop.

Reality's a bitch aint it?

Even the MSM is beginning to see the major flaws in Obama! The outrageous favoritism to Wall Street and big finance.
