Yeah I was with that line.

Older people grew up with a whole diff type of LEO.

Agreed, but they also grew up in a different type of society!

So did you! What I dont think youre getting is that LEOs come from the same society as the criminals. If the populace is more thuggish, brutal, and terroristic then the LEO will be also.

And again, if you instill fear in the majority of the populace, which I believe is true, then technically you are terrorists. Terrorism involves more than beheading or killing for god, or $$$ for hostages.

Im sorry you couldnt see my points without taking offense. But it does help prove my point.

A blind eye to what? Your assuming I would make a deal with the devil for some cash?? Hell of an assumption.

And sure in countries that have gone to crap the military and police DO help oppress thier own people...thank god I don't live in one of those countries.

Are you in the U.S.?

A blind eye to what your family is doing. I mentioned this way earlier. The context is back there where I posted it first.

Yes Im in the us and Im also a former Marine.

You do live in one of those countries, I pointed out earlier when it happened here. You ignored it.

I grew up in a time where people didn't act like they do now!!! Not sure how old you are, but we didn't have school shootings, gangs, gang rapes, children getting kidnapped ALL the time, kids molested daily, etc...

I agree that is the "offical" definition of a terrorist, but the actions of a few within the force cannot label the entire force. Well except by those unable to see that not everyone is alike. How do I know your not a child rapist? Maybe YOU fit the profile of all other child rapists so it should be ok for me to call you a child rapist and treat you as such right? I mean cmon, how unfair would that be....

Okay, but they now have the same LEO as you, and their opinions haven't changed. I do have to ask, though. When you have come into contact with a cop, are you as confrontational as you have been in this thread?

All they induce in me is the desire to show off my superior marksmanship.

Cops themselves admit they are terrorists. But not directly.

I will explain. How many times have you heard a cop on TV or in person say these words "our mere presence deters crime"?

Now the only way for that to be true is because people fear them. Fear is nothing but a synonym for terror.

So yes, all police are terrorists.

If this is what your referring to..oh please let me respond.

Your superior marksmanship...ok so since your a self proclaimed Hathcock, that will scare people because your a good shooter and brag about it...i.e. you instill fear...so YOUR a terrorist.

As for the "deter crime with our presence" OH MY GOD DUDE...the fact that you compare that to being a terrorist is really funny. So a cops presence stops a guy from raping your mom and that cop is the bad guy...cause if that marked patrol car DIDN'T drive by your moms house when it did, this criminal scumbag would of broken in and raped her. USE YOUR LOGIC man...not fear by people feared by criminals about to or thought about doing something they shouldn't!!!

Let's take the Marines.

Do you think everybody in the Marines are thugs, low lifes, baby killers, rapists and murderers?

I don't, but I do a small percentage of Marines do fit this bill. And those are the ones the Marine Corps tries to weed out.

I view the LEO's in the same light. Overall they mean well. But they do have bad apples withing their ranks.

Some departments are good at weeding them out and some aren't. Unfortunately, the whole organization gets a black eye every time a bad LEO acts up.

And, the times that cops do prevent other cops from abusing their authority or initiate an investigation into the wrondoings of another cop are never made public. So, many assume it never happens.

That is a nasty injury and that police officer should lose his badge and go to prison. Excessive force does'nt justify it.

However you cant lable all police officers thugs on the merits of what a few dumb ass's who should'nt be police officers do.

Thats so narrow minded. Police officers are just people like you and me at the end of the day. People make mistakes and no matter how strictly you vet them there will always be some bad apples that slip through.

They have some unique responsibiltys that can put them in some dangerouse situations. Try to imagine your self, and how you would feel or react in certain instances. If its a case of you getting shot or some crack head with a gun, hell bent on self destruction. Im sure i know what choice you would make.

This is an example of someone who doesn't have a clue about being a Police Officer, and yet, he was appointed by the city to lead the department. It is a shame some young Officers learned how to do their job from him.

With that said, there are about 800,000 sworn law enforcement officers in the U.S. Claiming they are all like this joker is painting with a pretty broad brush.

Umm excuse me cop lover but for one the incident with the 14 year old wasn't just any police officer it was a POLICE CHIEF! Secondly you have obviously not been the victim of mindless police brutality as I have.

Incident's of police going OTT are so numerous that its no longer a case of just a few individuals, it's an epidemic.

Cops are hated often for a reason, they harass, they're on a power trip representing so much that stands against freedom. For example try to confront an officer who is beating up someone who is handcuffed and you will be locked up, or threatened with arrest. So persucusion for standing up for the rights of a citizen is right is it!?

There is no such thing as a nice cop, fact. Cops are on a power trip, fact. Cops restrict your freedom, fact. Cops are victims of their ego, fact.
Cops will write you a ticket and/or arrest you for saying the wrong thing (so freedom of speech is being actively denied), fact.
Cops will arrest and manhandle you if you get on their nerves, fact.

I could go on cop lover but I won't cos you're a cop lover and so obviously got your head where the sun don't shine!

American police attitude from a long time ago. The following is simply a comment, from an 18 yr old English kid.

It was 1964 in Alexandria, Washington.
I was in the Uk Merchant Navy ( Merchant Marine ) and was on a boat carrying Newsprint out of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick down to Miami and up to Chicago and all places in between. We were strike bound in Alexandria and my cabin mate had gone ashore to celebrate the birth of his son in England, he had received a telegram that day.
I was 18 yrs and not allowed to drink so I stayed on the ship. Midnight arrived and he was still ashore so I walked to the pub he was drinking in and told him it's time to go home. He was inibriated to the max, although he was a very quiet drunk. We walked out the door and I placed his arm around my neck and put my arm around his waist and started to walk along the pavement.
It was fairly dark and very quiet. We had gone no more than 20 yards when a Police car turned the corner in front of us. It stopped parallel to where we stood. The car door opened and I saw the policemans foot hit the pavement and in one stride he was standing in front of us. At the same time he took his second step I noticed his right hand reach for and draw his gun. He thrust the gun in my face and screamed, What the # are you doing? I'm looking down the barrel of a gun ( I had never seen a gun in my life ) the hole looked like a huge cannon.
I was also aware of a second plain coloured car pulling around the corner from which a plain clothed cop got out from also with a gun pointed at us.
By this time I'm trying to work out what was going on. He then screamed , why is your fist clenched? Its not, it's not I cried , opening my hand, I hadn't even been aware I had it clenched.
He kept waving the gun in my face and screaming at me. The second cop then walked over and asked me where I was going. I said, back to the ship. He asked me the name of the ship, I said the Phyllis Bowater, ( now I pronounce water as Waughter as opposed to the American way of Wotter)
the first cop started screaming again said I was some sort of queer, just listen to the way he speaks, he said to the other cop.
By this time I am starting to really wonder if I am going to get back to the ship alive. Eventually the plain clothes cop told me to walk back to the ship by keeping off the main road. Which we did.
A couple of weeks later almost the same thing happened to us , only this time we hadn't been drinking and again I had a gun pointed at me.
The point I am trying to make is that American cops have an aggressive attitude. I appreciate that they never know when and if a gun is going to be used by the persons(s) they're talking too. But the way they swagger when they walk makes me wonder. Does the uniform go to their head?

Let me start off by saying that you dont know anything about me or about my past. If you did then you would'nt be calling me a cop lover.

I was appealing to your common sense but obviousely you havent got any.

I love the fact that you think your free
. If you were then you would have no need for a police force any way. You cant blame the police for that you'll have to take it up with the government.

Obviousely your view of the police is so militant that your vision of them is exacly as you've mentioned above. There not on a power trip. You just dont like the fact that thy have power over you. Theres a difference and again you should take it up with the Government.

Let me ask you this and read it very carefully cop hater.

If someone shot or raped a member of your family. Who would be the people you would call?

Answer this very carefully.

'Cops are not on a power trip'.

Are you sure I'm the one with no common sense! In fact I have loads of common sense thank you which has led me to the conclusion that cop lovers have a screw loose or are so wet blow on them and they'd fall over.

And btw I have no family, but if I did and someone say raped my sister I'd call a few friends and beat the ####'ers to near death. I certainly wouldn't call the cops which was the scenario you were trying to ram down my throat.

Why don't you just come out and say you know, are related to or have dated a cop. Man I can't wait for the day when you are roughed up by a cop then you'll think differently about what I said!

The police totally screwed up on the first clip.

As you can see in slow motion, as the dog runs at the suspect, he THROWS the gun away in plaiin sight, so as to say, "okay game over you got me". Had he wanted to, he couldve aimed the gun and got a shot or two off, at least hitting the dog, maybe an officer if he got lucky, but unlikely. They way they lit him up was terrifying, they probably pimped him full with 40 bullets. And when they commenced shooting, he no longer had a gun in his hand, because he threw it away BEFORE the dog even reached him. So how do you explain that ..rcjw?

also, afterward, you hear an officer state "why did everyone open up on him? i had 2 AR-3's which are supposed to stun". There was NO reason that they had to kill that man, and that dog.

It was a nice touch picking up the dog's corpse before even checking the suspect for vital signs, seeing as he was moving a bit. i guess they wanted him to die.

I spent 17 days in jail this year, and my city has one of the worst jails in the state by far. I like to think of it as a vacation. I get orange pajamas, slippers, i get fed 3 times a day, i get to order all manner of junk food, candy, soda, cards, paper, and other items from the canteen twice a week, including coffee. I get to sit around in the dorm block all day playing cards, watching TV, using the phone, and talking with my cellmates about all manner of stuff. oh yeah, and we get to listen to headphones and a walkman too, if we buy one. The Deputies are the ones that have to SERVE US. They have to protect us from violent inmates, they have to serve us our 3 meals a day, they have to come to our door whenever we call them for one issue or another. And the best part is, they have to see our ugly faces everyday just like we have to see theirs. Sure they get to go home at night, but they have to come right back the next day to serve us. Theyre in jail too.. if you think about it. Then theres all the paperwork and escorting and protocols and duties they have to perform. All the while we get to lounge around in our orange PJs and slippers watching TV and stuffing our faces.

The food does suck, though. Thats why you stock up on canteen goodies. :-)

I heard penitenteries are even better, that you have a radio and a TV for each cell, a roomy cell with only 2 people in it. In my city jail, there's 20 odd people in the cell with 1 TV and no stereo, just walkmans.

Its a nice relaxing vacatiion ... where you dont have to worry about all the drama and stress of the outside world, and weeks go by as if they were days, its crazy. I dont want to go back, but if it happens, im sure as hell not going to cry about it. Lol ..

I wish i lived in rcjw's city so he could serve me next time i goto jail. LOL ;-)

Well your take on getting locked up is one I have heard for years. I have locked up the same people a few times and they almost all have told me they like going back. They enjoy what they get on the "inside". I guess some people just take to it. As for ME being the one to serve you runetang, sorry friend, I am not a CO or Jailer, so other than being the one to take you to your second home, I wouldn't be there to see your pretty face wake up in the morning and ask for chow...

As for the first part of the video. Have you ever been in that type of situation? Have you ever been in a situation that involved a split second decision that meant life or death for BOTH sides? I am asking in all seriousness as I ask anyone who monday evening quarterbacks cops from home and can take 20 minutes to do so, and has the luxury of a rewind and replay button.

No, what you said was pretty much exactly what i expected you to say. Of course you wont admit that it would be the cops that you would relly on to find the person and then lock him up for life. That would go against your pitifull little hate filled argument. What are you a gangster? or do you just wish you were.

You only hate the police because people say that you should. Yes it sucks to get pulled over and get a ticket, and its never your fault.

Listen carefully. Trying to fight the police who are there to uphold the law by breaking it is pointless. Seeing someone getting beat up by the police and then running in waving your arms and voice and getting all aggresive is only gonna get you locked up. You'd see that if you had some of the common sense you claim to have.

If you really hate the police as much as you say you do, then you would fight them the only way you can. By learning those laws that there supposed to be upholding and holding them to it. Only then will you have anywhere near enough ammunition to make a stand.

Not pulling some random video off youtube then mouthing off about stuff that you heard other people say.

I've been there and done exactly what your doing now and its you who'll end up looking stupid. (too late as far as im concerned but thats just my point of view)

As for your attempt at a personal attack by claiming i know police officers or im dating them or something. Pretty childish. No i dont but i dont expect you to believe me.

Get a grip and try to work out whats really making you angry.

Wrong I'm not a sheep, and can form my own opinion thank you.
And i'm clever enough to know I should exist in free state and 'a ticket' inhibits that freedom no matter what.

True, and I have a law degree to help. But the law is on their side.

It wasn't random it was a POLICE CHIEF'S ACTIONS, a person with major influence to other officers by his actions.

Hey guys thought I would chim in here.

On the topic of LEO being terrorists, I agree they are to an extent. They are there to deter crime, rarely can a LEO prevent crime. That is not what laws do but yet we create more. No person that is determined to commit a crime will be detered by a law, a officer in the vicinity or such might, in a sense this is terrorism but one I can agree is needed in some cases.

But I also believe many officers are more aggressive and forceful than needed but I understand this in certain cases as their job comes with certain dangers.

My problem comes when I get pulled over for having dealer plates on and have to take 4 people out of my car to be searched for no other reason. Did the cop prevent a crime by taking my date and 2 other friends and searching our car for 1 hour no, there was no cause for this. I believe things like this are a waste of time and money go and arrest all the gang bangers you want I can point to 20 of them on my street you could find a gun in any of their houses, but wasting time and harassing someone for an illegal lane change and speeding(not talking reckless here) is pointless. Laws in the US have gone from punishing criminals to making the common citizen a criminal, I read a study I can find if anyone is interested that you commit three felonies a day. This is wrong. We live in fear of breaking laws everyday, I can't start my car without petentionally breaking a law.

rcwj1975 you mentioned you are a LEO and ex-military, first I want to thank you before I start commenting on your replies. You stated many soldiers and officers would never take arms against family and friends, I agree with this to an extent. Let us take for example a large peacfulrevolutionary force begins to surround the Capitol building calling for the resignation of Legislative branch, and calling for certain law to be make the system more balanced and to curb corruption (which congressmen refuse to because they won't be able to line their pockets with money), the National Guard and LEO is called in to break apart this revolutionary force which has taken camp in Washington. Will these LEO or National Guardsmen fire or attempt to disperse these crowds?
