Moon halos are very cool to look at.

I have seen more in the past 2 years then ever before. (perhaps because i have a telescope now and look more often) lol

I have seen 2 very good ones from light polluted new york in the past 2-3 months or so.

One that had 2 or 3 halos around it.

and then, about a month ago, I saw one that was really interesting that ive never really noticed before...

instead of a round halo around Selene, '
there was a big bright "X" directly over it,
it looked just how the halos do, only in an X shape.

if i remember correctly from meteorology class...
they are due to ice crystals in the atmosphere.
though its been awhile, so I may be wrong... or forgetting someting. lol

i actually got some pics of one from not long ago..
if I can find where on the external HD i put them, ill post'em up.

The morning after I saw this moon halo, it rained hard and nearly everything was flooded. Doing missions in heavy rain just isnt a very good idea.
