Riverdance

I saw a performance of Riverdance tonight. It was great, I really felt the energy of the Irish culture, perhaps in part because many of my ancestors came from there. Something about the music, especially the drums, is enchantingly ancient. You really feel connected with the Celtic community and energy.

I know what you mean. I love Irish (and Scottish) music, etc.
I love Riverdance, too. My mum and I go to the local Entertainment Centre everytime they come to our town.

I was always of the mind that Michael Flatley looked like a homo. Some of the girl dancers are pretty hot, though.

Sure, Flatley comes off a little gay, but he's good at what he does (even has the world record for speed tapping)...

It's a great show, but I prefer the music and show for Lord of the Dance better... I've seen both shows in person though, and seeing them live is much better than the DVD, etc.

Most of my heritage is from parts near there, so I can identify, if not actually Irish....and I've always loved Celtic music. Give me some Clannad, Enya, Celtic Women, etc. any day.

(and yes, a lot of the gals are real lookers...)
