Hi dgtempe. I've noticed a common them with your posts and threads and that they all center around negativity. I think that you should start looking
at all the good things in your life. If you have food in your cupboards, a roof over your head, a computer with internet access, heat, and
electricity, and most importantly a loving family and friends, then I'd have to say you are not really as bad off as you seem to think you are.
What is bad in this world is the fact that there are human beings who are literally starving to death. They have very little access to health care.
Disease runs rampant among their communities. These are the problems in the world that all of us should be focused on fixing.
While our western governments are certainly involved in corruption and greed, you have to admit that you seem like you have it pretty well all things
What all of us should be striving for is a world where equality reigns supreme. Where no-one goes hungry, and where everyone has a roof over there
If you look at certain websites online, you'd be amazed at just how giving, compassionate, caring and kind the majority of planet Earth's
inhabitants truly are. Don't allow the mainstream media to shape your outlook on humanity as a whole.
I used to be just like you. I had no hope for humanity. I was depressed. I was angry. I was hopeless. However, things are not quite as hopeless as you
have been led to believe.
I have had the pleasure of reading journals online of world travelers and the outstanding amount of generosity in which they were showered with. This
was an occurrence throughout the entire planet. North America, South America, Europe, and even the middle east, Asia and Africa.
These people were invited in to the homes of complete strangers where they were fed and sheltered for the night. It was incredibly touching and
incredibly moving to read and witness these acts of kindness that I never thought had existed.
There is bad in this world however it is few and far between. Ninety nine percent of the earth's inhabitants want peace. They are just like you and
I. They want to ensure that shelter and food are provided for their families. Very few pose a threat to the world at large.
The government and the media however, make humanity look as though we are doomed. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Are there areas in which we could all improve upon? Certainly. Starvation, disease and pollution are all important problems that inflict this world,
and thankfully there are many people who are trying to put an end to all of them.
If we demanded that are governments placed less emphasis on military expenditure, and more emphasis on helping humanity as a whole, many of our
problems would be solved rather quickly.
Cheer up. Things will soon change for the better. In fact, they already are. You just won't hear about all the positive events that transpire
throughout the world on a daily basis by listening to the six o'clock news. All they espouse is negativity.
