Here they are! The 9 best pictures of 2009. Unless someone can find better ones, without further ado lets begin.

1. Mystery surrounds an unidentified flying object spotted in the skies above Telford. Robson Bolam sent this picture of a mystery object which he saw over Donnington. And he is at a loss as to explaining what it is he photographed.

2. This photo was taken on January 10, 2009, with a camera phone while someone was hiking with a friend in San Diego County. The UFO appeared briefly, hovered, and then vanished.

3. United Kingdom - A woman in Ely has taken phone footage of what she believes is a flying saucer hovering over Ely Cathedral.

9. Wichita man was out taking pictures of construction sites for his job when he said he saw a low flying, black shiny object. He said heard a sound like a fan whirring. He looked up and saw the object drop down and streak past faster than anything he ever saw.

Wow great pics, S+F!

The cathedral one and the australian one look suspicous to me...

If you look closely, at the un-zoomed parts of these pictures, you can clearly see what looks like a square around them where the sky pixels are quite different from the rest of the sky around them. Evidence of doctoring IMO, but the other ones are quite amazing.

I like the one you took and the south harrow one.

EDIT:

After taking a closer look at the pictures I think are doctored, I noticed that this pixilation effect is around all non-sky objects in the photos, including the cathedral itself and the lightning. They are still a little blurry, but certainly not complete write-offs either.

A couple of them do indeed look suspicous, but anytime you group 10 UFO pictures together your gonna have a few that don't pass the sniff test.

But for the most part, cool pics. Remind me of the good ol' days of the 50's and 60's for some reason, lol.

Some great pics...but the first one is just a bird.

No.2 Appears too sharp for it's apparent size and distance from the camera. I think it's a small object close to the camera or a photoshop paste.

No.4 Has no frame of reference for size, distance etc. Could be anything.

No.6 Are reflections on a window from ceiling lights.

No.8 Looks like crap on the lense, or a regular delta shaped jet

No.9 Looks like a jet.

The others are kind of interesting.

3, 5, 7, 8 seem unexplainable to me

3 - shows the same poor quality on the whole pic

5 - cool light

7 - nice colors! Ain't no helicopter!

8 - no idea

They look great, but everything has its flaws.

1) It could be anything. The picture is too blurry to tell, I will go with UFO as, in a technical level, that thing is an Unidentified Flying Object .

2) I'm 100% positive it's false. I was about to open Photoshop as the form itself is very suspicious to do some color reverting and adding some noise to see if it was legit or not. But on my second glance at the pic, I saw the distorted out-of-palette pixels around the "UFO". You can see them clearly if you have a trained eye, and if you don't just stare closely at the pixels surrounding the object .

3) It has the same problem as number two, but this one looks more legit because the pixels also appear in the building's near pixels.

4) Looks terribly fishy. I will analyze it some other time when I am not so tired.

5) I call legit on this one.

6) They look like balloons, but I call UFO in the technical level as I am not really sure .

7) Legit.

8) The pixels around the object are quite soundish, but I am not sure. I will check it with more patience some other time.

9) Looks like a flying squirrel or something. Definitely not an UFO, at least not in my eyes.
