Hey mate, thanks for having my back but as long as the message gets out there I'm not too fussed who gets the stars and flags.

These types of companys always remind me of movies like resident evil with the umbrella corporation Either way, this is something we should deffinetly look into, im surprised Serco doesn't come up to often here on ATS.

As I'd already put in the effort of typing the OP before finding Chad's thread, and upon finding that no one was paying attention to his thread, I decided to go ahead and post it, along with a recognition & direct link to chads as I felt a new thread would better serve the purpose of getting the public's attention to this information (& his thread), as opposed to adding a singular post (which at the time was all I had to offer) to an older thread which had already (no offence to Chad) faded into the background - unlikely to be seen again.

ok man, I put into words my intentions with this thread & those words were pretty clear to understand & I gave positive feedback to the posters here who recognised that intent. Asides from yourself, most people seem to have understood & expressed that understanding by giving this thread at least 3 more flags since this morning, without additional stars, which is fine by me its the info that matters......

They just put us through a 4-and-a-half month strike at the 93 driver examining centres across the province. There is now a backlog of 300,000 drivers waiting for road tests. It could take up to a year to catch up.

Some of the drivers awaiting testing were truckers whose livelihood depends on the successful completion of testing.

Serco has also faced criticism for inconsistent rates of failure among their test centres.

Thanks for your info, I also never had heard from them before. Their involvement in numerous countries makes them a major global player, who is interested in building an interconnected governmental-corporate cartel. SERCO is also starting to infiltrate military, education, police system and other areas in Germany. This company seems to be very good at pushing PPPs in many countries.

The German branch is relatively small with 800 employees and 35 branch establishments. They run the first partly privatized German prison (JVA Hünfeld). I guess if this privatisation trend continues and a prison industrial complex develops here in Germany, we will see more prisoners in the future.

I currently try to find out if the leadership of the German branch is interwoven with think tanks and political parties. But after a quick scan I haven't found much. SERCO seems to be run by different people, than important German think tanks and lobbying groups like the Bertelsmannstiftung, the ECFR (European Council on Foreign Relations), Common Purpose Deutschland and INSM (Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft).

To the original poster - fantastic post - irrelevant whether or not it had already been posted - I have studied with great diligence the role of corporations within the deconstruction of democracy, their subversive rise to power, their usurpation of power across the political, economic, religions power spectrum from the historical records of KBR (fascinating early foundations people) right through - literally dozens upon dozens of text and have never heard of this corporation - this is an EXCELLENT piece of work - thanking you VERY MUCH.


To make a contribution on this subject of little known power corporations I think I should Mentioned a corporation called Hills and Knowlton - this corporation is responsible for maintaining and delivering propaganda for public support in the UK and US for the vast majority of illegal operations by governments and corporations - they are very, very powerful - check em out.

While we are at it - see if anyone can find out about Trilac Partners.

GMT is one of the many things that control of has been outsourced to a corporation and is one of the many things in SERCO's portfolio that should never have been privatised.

P.S) one idea is exposure/boycotting these companies. I am an artist/musician and know there are plenty of awakened & passionate artists in all fields who could knock up some wonderful works exposing these companies, everyone knows these words - bilderberg group, rockerfella, jp morgan, jackyl island, etc..... they've become almost as 'household' bad guys as the joker from batman....

Maybe one thing that could help get the word out about corps like - walmart, SERCO, and as mentioned by audas - Hills and Knowlton
could be to take the idea that they are the new "faces of evil" and artistically present that perspective to the public. I'm thinking T-Shirts with logos & "the new face of ...?" but the idea would need a lot of work......just an example of what could be done, alternatively you could go a different way and use advertising techniques & strategies to sell the perspective, the same way the corporations you are fighting, would advertise themselves. Use their own tricks against them....?

I've recently been watching a lot of Michael Parenti lectures (can be found on google video) trying to understand some of - capitalism, socialism, globalisation, etc. And he suggests that everything boils down to being different offshoots of the exact same thing - capitalism, he then goes on to say that like all the other countries he listed - capitalist Russia is broke - getting poorer, due to the constant privatisation of industry. Sounds like this same thing is happening in Germany and the rest of the world.....?
