It is up to management, to ensure that both employees and contractors are assigned effectively and supervised according to the goals of the project. Just like a non-performing employee, a contractor should be let go if they cannot tow the line.

People that do not perform not only waste time and money, but drag the moral of their peers down as well, hurting their productivity and ultimately dragging down the whole operation.

Shoddy management is the real culprit.

So . . . let me get this straight . . . because obviously the government seems to have more intelligence that I do. . .

The government is going to save 44,000 dollars for every contracting employee that it's going to turn into Federal employee . . . but its planning to spend 5 billions to do this?.

I guess It makes sense to somebody, but not me.

No wonder we are a bankrupted nation.

So what the govenrment is doing with the "money is saving?", I got it, is going to give to Freddy Mac and fanny Mae.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So, the Federal Gov't will take over what Private Contractors and the Pentagon provided for?
I recall that the Pentagon has $2Trillion they cannot account for,
and that was when Private Contractors were doing such things as:
X- Security for both American & Foreign big-wigs
X- Trucking fuel, parts, supplies, water, etc
X- Providing hot meals for troops
X- Pick-up & delivery of weekly wash
and a bunch of other 'services' usually done by specialists in the military services, MilitaryOccupationalSpecialty=MOS

looks like Obamanation is going to Socialize the military and all facets of the GovernmentServices.
Come to think of it, all the Private-Contractors were just pawns of the Corporate & Oligarch machine, they made big-bucks (relatively speaking)
but had no benefits or pensions or annual bonuses... which the Haliburtons, BlackWaters, et al, of the world definitely had

It used to be that the military did all of those things. Then came Clinton's Peace Dividend. All of the reduction in the military, eliminated those positions and created opportunity for contractors ..........................to save money.
