What if I emigrated to Mexico illegally, set up my own neighborhood, flew hundreds of American flags, spoke only English, attacked someone for speaking Spanish, brought an illegal part of my culture and flaunted it? I think I'd be asking for a butt kicking, to put it mildly.

1: I'm not from texas, read my previous post, I'm a french citizen here in the USA on a green card.

2: I'm not a nazy, my grand parents fought the nazis hard, and i'll stand by their actions.

My wife is puerto rican, my kids were born here, all that, way after i got my green card.

By the way, i don't care if you're mexican or asian or african or european. I lived in NYC before moving to Texas. To be more specific, i went to high school in a town filled with asian who did not want to assimilate themselves with the rest of the world. there, all the signs are in korean or chinese, and they did not make the effort to speak english either, until they realized that if they wanted to live confortably, they should go to school and speak english like everyone one else. I did not seclude myself by speaking french and not making the effort to speak english. Instead i embraced everything that was given to me, because i know that back home it would have never happened. I'm not saying to deny your heritage, hell i love being french, but i don't go around stabbing people or just talking french to everyone i work with.

It gets official when you've got a constitution that clearly says that the nation has an official or many official languages. In 100 years your de facto official language (like English is at the moment) will most likely be Spanish. Well that is if the US still exists then..
