B) what was the ball that floated from it?
I'm at work and unable to read ALL posts, so if mentioned, please forgive: but it just struck me why the falling object doesn't look right. It isn't free-falling, it's floating up...the video is posted upside down and therefore, no reference points visible to give up the gig. Turn your laptops upside down, and you see they are balloons. Ill bet the same is true for other of these "released orb" videos. Clever.
Further, I think the ends are attached to kite strings, hence the 'jerky" motions. The altitude is exaggerated.
dang ya beat me to it LOL.
[EDIT]
tho i added the video with a vertical flip to show what you're saying in my previous post, bottom of page 5.

No. It is not ad hominem. I do not think these are balloons because the video is presented by Maussan. I think it because (to me) balloons are obviously what I see. I would think so even if he was not involved.

I mentioned Maussan because it has been shown time and time again that he cares little for real investigation. If he had real interest he would have laughed at the idea that this video is of a "UFO snake". He is interested only in sensationalism.

is it really just a single balloon that detaches from the main segment and floats upwards and away ? sure looks like it to me

Very good point. The change in perspective is enlightening.

An ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy which is used in an attempt to discredit an argument. I did not use my opinion of Maussan to support my argument that we are looking at balloons.
Most people recognize them for what they are; nothing extraordinary.
Jaime on the other hand...

smaller than 100 meters.
Okay, I looked at the video. I am at a loss to explain how large the spaceworm is, or how far away it is. You seem to know. How big is it and how far away?

For those balloon lovers and balloon men from Balloon Land visiting this thread I invite
you to check this footage where you can see a commercial airplane passing by close to
the object, check the distance and the size and explain how is it posible the object didn't
explode by the turbulence or even was disturbed. Think twice before answering and don't
improvise.

The reason why the object wasn't disturbed is the same reason why this image doesn't show a near miss.
