War, can be declared by numerous different acts.

WWII was declared against the Japanese many months before the actual declaration. I will not go into those, history has a means of showing this, therefore I will not divulge my meanings behind it. Yes, Japan needed to be stopped, does that mean that nations need to be secretive and corrupt in their intentions?

Think of it, the very act of breaking ones own laws to institute unlawful acts, does this not indicate an act of war?

We the people, have told our government to stop. We have given them the address of issues.

We have screamed at the top of our lungs.

We have sent them emails, letters, phone calls but do they stop their draconian laws and regulations?

What is the next step? You tell me. Do you actually think anything they vote on has any actual benefit to the average American?

Both parties have shown that they have seen the American people as a piggy bank only. Just BREAK it whenever they want to institute another draconian takeover.

Many have told me I need to settle down, FRACK THAT!

You tell me,

WHO IS BREAKING THE LAWS OF THE LAND!?

Democracy???? Do you even live in the US? I suspect if you did you would realized the real Tyranny that is presently occupying Washington, with all the lies and deceit of the Obama Administration. And YES I did vote Obama, because at the time he spoke much differently than his current actions have portrayed. He is a 2-faced lier in my opinion. Perhaps its not his fault either, but that is the reality of the matter.

The only change he has brought thus far, is corruption, debt and more war.... All things he promised to improve!

It could be argued that you and I live in a dictated democracy. For example you or I could try and run but we do not have large sums of money, the interest of lobbyists or corporations or the media. A candidate that went strictly for the people would have little chance of getting a foothold.

In Canada if the politician is elected and does not do as promised are only recourse is to sit it out until the next election and vote someone else in who inevitably is more of the same in a different coloured tie.

It may have been a democracy at one time but my personal feeling is it now exists simply as dog and pony show. The candidates come from two parties and usually are the favourite horses in the race backed by lobbyists and the corporate media. Its hardly a true democracy anymore at least in my eyes. I am young so I grant that I may be ill-informed or misguided in how I see things.

Cheers

Democracy ? That is just the name they attach to the facade of the political system that sits answerable to a corporate oligarchy . Why bother with this partisan feuding when both parties are mere marionettes enacting the wishes of their (and your) common masters .

This 'Democracy' is a two headed hydra . 2 heads, one republican , one democrat , attached to the same body of corporate greed . A big fat loathsome body that wants to devour all it can feed on. Both in the US and in the world at large it casts it's avarice .

Still have not addressed my issue have you?

If I break the law, I am arrested.

What happens when the government breaks the law? Nothing!

But of course we have Polynomial C and OldDragger giving me dog poo about me bitching about Obama.

When did I mention OBAMA?

This has to do with UNLAWFUL legislation. This has to do with CONTINUAL WAR. This has to do with the STATUS QUO.

BUT KEEP MAKING IT ABOUT OBAMA

What war? I just bought a 6 pack and a litre of tequila.

Under the tree I see a present all wraped up but I know it's a Glock 9mm.

I just drove from NM to the Ozark Mts of Missouri and didn't see but 3 cops in almost 900mi. Some war!

And now I'm on the interweb telling you that you need to take a break fro Rush, Sean, Savage and the rest of the divisive people that want to divide the American people into two camps for some stupid ideological fantasy.
Frack that!!

whaaa, you are right, I should just chill and enjoy the birth of Christ celebration in the old school way.

But I need to speak my mind.

I feel anytime the government feels that they know better than I what to do with my life; I need to speak out.

The same people last year screaming about what Bush was doing are now screaming to do the very same thing.

Idiocy and hypocrisy. Two have already spoken.

Since Slick Willie--- the American people have voted for Health Care, Term Limits, Balanced Budget and an end to war.
What do we have. Communistic Socialism with no accountability.

Just wanted to save this quote for posterity.

We do not live in a Democracy. It is called a representative republic.

ONE OF THE VERY ASPECTS OF THIS REPUBLIC is the VERY right of the RULED to disagree with their elected.

SO SHUT THE FRACK UP about me disagreeing with my government. Or are you one of the idiots that agreed with the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive war?

It is hilarious how the unintelligible still back the same doctrine of the Bush years.

Sorry, I have a little more knowledge than the idiocracy.

edit to change-meant to say posterity, typed prosperity duuuuhhhh!

We actually live in a Republic. Or, used to. This is coming more and more into question.

A constitutional republic is a state where the head of state and other officials are elected as representatives of the people, and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over citizens.

In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers are separated into distinct branches and the will of the majority of the population is tempered by protections for individual rights so that no individual or group has absolute power.

The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power makes the state constitutional. That the head(s) of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions, and that their decisions are subject to judicial review makes a state republican.

John Adams defined a constitutional republic as "a government of laws, and not of men."[1] Constitutional republics are a deliberate attempt to diminish the perceived threat of majoritarianism, thereby protecting dissenting individuals and minority groups from the "tyranny of the majority" by placing checks on the power of the majority of the population.[2] The power of the majority of the people is checked by limiting that power to electing representatives who are required to legislate with limits of overarching constitutional law which a simple majority cannot modify.

Also, the power of government officials is checked by allowing no single individual to hold executive, legislative and judicial powers. Instead these powers are separated into distinct branches that serve as a check and balance on each other. A constitutional republic is designed so that "no person or group [can] rise to absolute power."[3]

Violations of the above quotes are what "right wing fringe" are so upset about.

Anyone who holds these values should be upset, regardless of the name of the president. It is the loss of the power of the people, and yes, it matters, it should matter to everyone, regardless of the name of the president.

Our representatives and our congress no longer listen to the people. They have turned a deaf ear.

Did you know they are changing the rules of congress in the healthcare bill? They are sneaking things into these monsters hoping you won't find them.

Changing the rules, but no one seems to care, except "right wing nut cases".

The people have a right to be very, very angry.

I don't care if you disagree , not my problem ..

Your guy lost the election .. live with it ..

Before anyone jumps on you because the etymological convention has changed the dictionary definition of Democracy to fit the evolving perception by the masses of the ‘idea’ of democracy, the newer definition of democracy encompasses a representative form of government.

The United States was founded as a republic, not a democracy by pure definition nor of any definition of the period.

Federalist #10 by Madison, the US Constitution; Article IV, section 4 and even the “Pledge of Allegiance”, Electoral College on and on…all refer to republican form of representation…long before Webster added their 2 cents.

The irony here is it was to protect the country from self serving arbitrary laws…lol!

Thanks Libertygal,

Some just do not see the reasoning behind our form of government.

Career politicians were never meant to be.

Thanks for your clear head on that issue.

We are no longer represented. Period.

And fools that think that once someone is elected, just because they are part of their fracking party, should be allowed to do unlawful things, just point to their own stupidity.

We also live in a huge deceptive government/world, and so do YOU.
This is Earth's evil bouncing baby boy, not just America.

Yes, some of us think we "chose" him, we didnt. Here you are not elected by the people, you're selected in order to play the marionette. No matter who we chose, its all the same.

Would McCain have done a better job? We would probably all be glowing by now. And that includes YOU.

We/ the world are victims, granted, we could have stopped it when it started, with Bush, (it really became obvious with Jr, it had been coming for years) but we didnt due to Zombie dust or what have you, so here we are. And there YOU are. Also

Americans love freedom, love power, love being in control.

That applies to Joe six pack with his 9mm Glock, bombed out of his brain on booze.

And it applies to a corrupt and evil President sitting in the White House.

They are both the same.

As long as they can take whatever they want by force, and kill to protect themselves from others, nothing else matters.
Life is sweet.

If you impeached the President, and made boozy Joe six pack the President in his place, NOTHING WOULD CHANGE.

You get the government you deserve.
It is made up of people just like you.
