The data streams are what Interpol is about. But big words and anything more than a few paragraphs of legalese makes the hillbillies get nervous and
immediately assume the worst. meh, let the hillbillies be the cowering ignoramuses they tend to be
'
No one here is cowering or suffering from an inability to comprehend words. But when laws are written in a manner that is not obvious as to their
intent and or their implications, then they are rightfully a cause for some concern.
“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read,
or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.”
-James Madison
Madison, what a hillbilly, what a cowering ignoramus he and those of his ilk must have been.
Being a non-Christian and unashamedly liberal on many social issues, I used to laugh at the rednecks and their "God, guns and guts made this country
great" mentality. After reading up on the Founding Fathers a bit, I see that I was simply being arrogant and stereotyping those who I considered my
political opposite. It's little wonder to me now that TPTB want the left and right wings despising each other.
Isn't it interesting that the Founding Fathers of this country, who were intelligent enough to write the constitution for us and lead a ragtag army
into battle against the most powerful nation on Earth and win, considered the most serious threat to this country to be an internal one?
“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy” - James Madison
"The truth is that all men having power should be mistrusted" - James Madison
I could post many quotes from this country's Founding Fathers that warned us about the inherent tendency of any government to become corrupt and turn
on it's own people. The passage of time has done nothing to invalidate their warnings.
Maybe this EO is harmless, I tend to
think that it is, but then again, maybe it isn't it. I don't know the whole story behind this EO. Had
Obama conducted himself in a manner congruent with his party platform and his campaign speeches, I personally wouldn't be as suspicious of him as I
now am.
When the govt reps stops listening to the people who elected them to power, then the potential for tyranny inherent within our government, the tyranny
that our Founding Fathers warned us about, is starting to materialize before us. The questions are how far will it go and at what point do we say, in
a loud unified voice, that it's unacceptable.
Thank God for the second amendment.
I used to get hung up on that 2nd amendment question you sometimes hear, what did the FF mean by "a well regulated militia"? Is the second amendment
really an absolute?
I've been reading up on what the Founding Fathers had to say about the R2KBA lately.
The Founding Fathers, without a doubt, wanted the citizens of this country to be armed enough to be able to defend themselves from our own govt,
should it ever become necessary to do so.
We can never, ever, under any circumstances, give up our guns.
Should any of us ever find ourselves confused on the issue, if ever we are in doubt about whether or not the amount of oppression from the govt is
severe enough to justify a violent retaking of our govt...just remember this.
As Americans and as people of good will, we can certainly disagree about whether or not things are bad enough to march over, demonstrate, or fight
over.
But if the govt should ever state that we are to surrender our firearms, then let there be no doubt, war will have been declared against the American
people. Handing over our guns will insure that we will go from being free citizens from whom the power of govt originates, to mere subjects, slaves,
property of a despotic regime.
Hopefully, we will never see that day.
