So he wants to wage a war against capitalism when he says "when they fire us when its profitable?"

Sometimes i dont think people understand how capitalism works. IF you've got too many employees and your business is going through a slump, if you can fire a few to save costs then do it. When an economic slump hits businesses try and hibernate, they try and save money and costs and try not to risk thier money out on any big new ventures. They try to keep their business running throughout the tough times as best and profitable as they can (because a business is all about profit), and when the economy starts to rise again and their confidence in the economy picks up, they may venture out of hibernation and start spending much more again. They do these measures to survive another day and have thier business survive in the long run.

Great speech s+f! This really needs to be seen by everyone. Show the world you're not blind anymore America! Sometimes over here in europe we get the feeling that americans are just going along with what's happening ( and i know this isn't the case ) so its nice to be reminded that there are plenty of people fighting for what is right.

Massive Respect for the soldier.

Agreed, but big business has gone to do business in Communist China. China use the word Democratic but lets not be fooled.

Remember Tienanmen Square !!!!

"when they fire us when its profitable?"

In the case of AIG and Goldman-Sachs they got the big bail out and bonuses. By market rules they should have disappeared like the Dinosaurs. Know anyone from G-S that makes something you buy or that is useful? I don't.

"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson." - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a letter written Nov. 21, 1933 to Colonel E. Mandell House

Roosevelt

Remember the Hoover vacuum cleaner, it is now in the hands of Chinese. Check Wiki.

You are very ignorant.....yes you are right soldiers want war!!!!!! They want to take the chance that they are going to DIE! They want to take the chance that they will loose an arm or body part! They want to go to war and fight to kill.
You would never have the guts to fight for anything and that is why people like you fall for the bulls%^t and have nothing good to say about our AMERICAN SOLDIERS! You do know that if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything. that is the type of person you are IGNORANT FOOL!

If these liberals weren't so against the small businesses that keep this country running then they would lower taxes and instead of having to cut back on employees and take loans out to pay taxes, they would be able to HIRE PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this OpTiMuS!

Another excellent thread with information that the public NEEDS to know, but unfortunately will likely remain suppressed as long as the elite maintain their stranglehold..

Mike Prysner and the others that have spoken out about Amreican war crimes and the real reasons we're in Iraq and Afgthanistan are among the bravest of soldiers for speaking the truth, even though they are likely to be persecuted for doing so.

I operate a forum completely unrelated to the type of information presented on ATS, but we do have a forum for off topic discussions, and I often provide links to threads on ATS, as I always find a wealth of information that our members aren't likely to find anywhere else.

Thank you ATS and all the members that find and post here!

Great video. S&F

The sad thing is. It doesn't matter what this man tels us. I doesn't matter how right he is. It doesn't matter what we think.
At the end of the day. We will do our job no matter what, just to put food on the table and money in the Bank. Then we try to forget what we have done.
I dont know... It seams like we have the media to justify our actions. So it gets easier to not having bad conscience about our actions.

This kind of speech will be repeated in the future. By some one else who acknowledges that he was used as a political tool.

EDIT : To say that we are being used is actually very wrong. We actually in-list by our own free choice. We volunteer to be used like this. As this soldier on this video had volunteered to serve his government.

We blamed them for tricking us into this war game. But the whole blame is on our personal ignorance for not seeing what this charade is all about before we join in. And non of it could ever have happened with out our consent.

We should stop blaming the government for the things we do for them. All we have to do is think before we act. Its that easy.

While this guy is mostly right, I have to ask.

Has it ever been any different? Armies are built and used for the needs of the powerful. Ever since man formed tribes we waged war on other tribes for the purpose of securing resources and territory.

Eventually the poor will wage war on the rich and powerful. It's called revolution and happens from time to time when the poor have finally had enough. I feel we are approaching that time. Not yet, but getting there. Then, whoever takes over will become rich and powerful and the cycle will continue.

Mankind is a violent species. It is in us. No matter how much you or I would like to deny it, any look throughout our history leaves no doubt.

As for some other points he made.

The system that fires someone when it's profitable also gives him the opportunity to start a business and be profitable himself.

The bank that takes your home away when it's profitable does so when you fail to pay back a loan you promised to pay. Not just 'because'.

The insurance companies who ... well I agree with him there ... they suck. However, the problem is that health care is ridiculously expensive when it doesn't need to be. Insurance companies are businesses. If they pay for everything they will fail and then there would be NO insurance. We've probably all dealt with insurance companies and despite the occasional horror story, they usually just pay up if you follow their procedure.

In 20, 50, or 100 years someone will be giving the same speech and a bunch of people will be happy to hear it.... then we'll just go back to killing each other.

The revolution is under way, but lets not be so foolish to continue on the same path. We should revolt with peace not war we should revolt with positivity not negativity. Remeber violence begets violence, so contrary peace will bring peace. I love you all and will help any who need it to the best of my ability.

Now that video upset me ALOT. Please make the warning bigger on your post, I am not so stupid to not know that that kind of activity takes place but it is upsetting to say the least! Worse than animals, I can't say more on it really without breaking just about every T&C on the site.

The speech was bang on target, I hope more wake up like him but I doubt it otherwise there would not be vets who have had multiple tours.

I am sick of all of this rubbish, something needs to change and now.

I am sick of the pro war mindless who think this can be justified in any way.

Population control? I can think of a few elite that should put their names down for first in line. If your gonna lead do it from the front I say!!

I guess some of what he is saying is right, but he sounded awfully communist. It's not the job of the Government to give us healthcare, food, or housing.

Beautiful absolutely beautiful, tears are streaming down my cheeks. This brave kid sends a simple message, and really the only message all of America needs to hear.

People aren’t stupid, and they're waking up faster and faster.

The PTB's days are numbered.

Can you feel it?

The iron’s hot and getting hotter, the time to strike draws near.

Spread the word, we the people are taking America back.

This is nothing new.

D.D Eisenhower made all these points in 1954.

Many people have pointed this out time and again.
America never listens to this message. They don't want to hear it.

America doesn't want to know what a leech they are on the rest of the world and how much pain and destruction they cause.

Most Americans view themselves as peaceful and the greatest country ever. They have no clue as to what the cost to the rest of the world is for their way of life.

People will get on side with the message but typical american way of life contradicts the message.

Americans do nothing to lobby against war. Americans citizens typically are an apathetic lot who are moved to tears but rarely moved to action.

even after 7 years of continuous war waged on 2 countries, most people could care less so long as their cheeseburger order isn't late and they can still get drunk on a saturday night.

The empire crumbled, it just hasn't run out of gold yet.

yes great speech every military person needs to see this video so they can realise what they`re giving away their freedom for

it is apparent to me that most Americans can't wrap they're heads around the idea that the real enemy if domestic, or they simply don't what to even think about it. Most just want to be told what to think and go about they're daily routine.

The first quote that immediately comes to mind is "Free men rattle their chains to prove that they are free."

The real catch-22 for the warriors is once you have volunteered, how do you justify your own actions when you are honor and duty bound to fulfill the obligation you have accepted.

IMHO, we all want what we were promised by our ancestors. Liberty, freedom, and the rights to pursue happiness for ourselves and our families and loved ones.

When our so called leaders lose sight of the will of their constituents, it is incumbent on the constituents to get their attention.

The most effective method I have found is to follow the money trail and very loudly remove that portion of the swill that you have control of.

This is now the 7th military action I have first hand experience and information to make an informed decision about. While I understand the superficial and PR motivations we the people are fed to justify these actions, if you investigate the money trail and ask a few questions, you get a peek behind the curtain at the humbugs pulling the strings.

The decision for each of us is, do we whine, feel sorry for ourselves, resign ourselves to abject misery, or fight back.

well the revolution is underway and there hasn't been a shot fired but informatively the ones doing it are the ones in power now. they have they're own agenda, but it ain't what most Americans want. So with all the protests telling them to stop. why haven't they? I am sure if bullets start flying then and only then will they listen. How can you overthrow TPTB without force? ask them nicely to step down?

"essentially what you have is poor people fighting poor people." That was a great way to put it. However, someone needs to explain to me the whole racism part of it. Is he implying that they're trianed to be racist so that they'll see the "enemy" as less than them?
I woulda thought they wouldn't be allowed to openly preach racism.
That being said, had I heard his speech in person I would've clapped, and probably with a lump in my throat.

A good friend of mine is a professor of the classics. He taught me some extraordinary differences between the wars of the ancients and the wars of America; mainly the mentality.

The ancient elite warriors of Greece held nothing but the highest of respect for their enemies. It was an honor to defeat them.
In American it is the opposite mentality.
The racism card was used by the Military in Vietnam to encourage soldiers to "kill the gooks"
Now it's "kill the towel heads"
It's dishonorable and it leads to an army of arrogant asses who underestimate the enemy.
See the book Hercules In Vietnam. It's an amazing book and it will have you intrigued, I'm sure.
