"Billionaires behind the hate"

And blame is better to give than to receive.

massive privately owned conglomerate of manufacturing, oil, gas, and timber interests.

That figures. Freaking commodity pirates are the scum of the earth, and they treat other people like slaves, while contributing absolutely noting to the world; they just take from it, and redistribute.

It is great to know that it isn't only the left that has billionaires advancing their causes! Anyone ever heard of George Soros???

Good to know there is a little balance!

I wouldn't be surprised if Koch and Soros were on the same side and use left and right to divide and conquer. With people distracted and fighting over petty issues they can achieve their real agenda.

That is exactly what is going on, these people are the crap disturbers who stir the pot of left / right division. Isn't it neat how these billionaire pukes all tend to fit into one establishment camp or the other? seems the billionaire activist club can only muster 2 opinions; dumb and dumber, er, GOP / DNC, left Vs right.. there isn't one single pot smoking, hooker loving, 3rd party rogue billionaire out there? all billionaires are stuffy stick in their sphincter dullards who just happen to be smart enough to make billions, but too stupid to notice the corrupt 2-party sham is textbook divide & conquer?

IMO these two bozos are totally invested in division, not reality..

Since you seem concerned about socialism coming to America, I assume you are American. You seem to be confused regarding the differences between socialism and communism. I am an American who has lived in Munich, Germany, since 1988. Germany is politically a socialist country with a market economy. In this socialist country, my privacy is protected far better than that of citizens living in the US. No one in this socialist country imposes upon residents those things you mentioned. I likely have more freedoms here than I would if I lived in the US. Please take time to inform yourself of the differences because when you post as you did here on ATS you come across as a typically mis-or-uninformed American. Informing yourself is not all that difficult. Use a search engine, such as Google and enter "communism" and then "socialism" and see what you find. Alternately, you might want to try Wikipedia to correct your false understanding. When I was earlier stationed in West Berlin as an Army enlisted man, I had the opportunity to travel to communist East Berlin a number of times. The socialist West and communist East were two very different worlds. I consider myself fortunate to having had the opportunity to make a realf-life, first-hand observation. Please educate yourself regarding these two entirely different political systems.

Why do you believe wealth and power should be regulated, exactly?

Because, a system which places (by any mechanism) some people far above others in wealth/power is an insane system. There is no way we can justify such a hierarchical system except that it's what we were born into and the only thing we know.

If you want to know my views on wealth, please see my thread here:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

As for power... we all know power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The reality is... you could put the Mother Theresa herself in charge of a country and even SHE would still end up hurting somebody or screwing somebody over. The amount of power invested in the people, technologies, institutions, corporations, governments, and systems in our society is BEYOND the level that humans can handle properly/sustainably. Bottom line is- we cannot trust other humans (especially ones we dont know and have no easy way of communicating with/influencing) to hold such large amounts of wealth and power over and above the rest of us as they do, it has only lead to disaster after disaster, tyranny after tyranny, war after war, etc.
