When you think about people, they are marvellous.

The most marvellous people don't think they are, because they have been put down.

People who think they are great are not marvellous.

What if somones intellegence was marvelous? Would they still not be smart enough to know it?

No, because they would probably be put down.

Fun to discuss tho.

Most wise people know to shut up. Most smart people know they are above the masses but are also humble enough not to go beating people over the head with it.

Most idiots feel inferior and with good reason, thus needing to make themselves feel less inferior by pretending to be smart.

The human race is not marvelous, it is a giant disaster. What would be marvelous is if the dumb person admitted he was dumb and tried his best to learn the most he possibly could and be content with his IQ. What would be marvelous is if the human race admitted that they are and have a real problem, changed their ways, and fixed the problem, that would be marvelous.

In the reading of this OP and the replies I've read the word Marvelous so many times it doesn't look like a word anymore.

People are a lot of things. We are complex and yet we are simple. We are animals and yet we have consciousness.

So we're a lot of things and yes sometimes we are marvelous but not all the time because if we were marvelous all the time it would lose its meaning and marvelous would be the new normal...

Not if they had been put down.

It all then depends on the validity of the put down. An intelligent person would not be worried about unimportant things.

That must mean I'm not marvellous, then. Because I think I am.

I am neither marvelous nor NOT marvelous....I am both at the same time. I am HUMAN.

P.S. Why is this in conspiracies in religion???

The definition I choose to use when observing humans and all of creation is:

marvelous - such as to cause wonder, admiration, or astonishment; surprising; extraordinary.

Humans are definitely marvelous - either in a "good" way or "bad" way or somewhere in between. I am continually surprised at the human race as well as the individuals that comprise the human race. I am continually surprised at the degree of both the good in the human race as well as the bad in the human race... and I marvel at the individuality that comprises the whole.

here is a good quote for this topic:

"Thousands of geniuses live and die undiscovered - either by themselves or by others."

really great quote.

I personally feel the ego thing needs to have a balance, and i am happy to have an inferiority complex.

What good is an ego, as copenhagen showed, lol. Mans ego says that agw is real, but the reality is that man made global warming is not real. the cycles of the sun run the earths climate changes, lol.

I think you people should take a lesson from that.

What the heck happened to the Conspiracy in Religions forum?

Remember when it used to have content related to Conspiracies in Religion?

This subforum is clearly the unruly stepchild of ATS. The mods don't want to step in and as a result, CiR has clearly lost its raison detre.
