Wherever Al Gore goes, frigid temperatures seem to follow. More and more people are starting to take notice of this strange phenomenon. It has come to be known as The Gore Effect

Philadelphia Examiner

The climate summit began on December 7th and it seems like the ‘Gore Effect’ has been striking routinely since then.

Leading up to the event, much of the United States was plunged into a deep freeze. Snow fell in Houston, Denver experienced temperatures 30 degrees below normal and 370 new record low temperatures were set or tied in a three day span across the United States.

Not even the summit itself has been immune to the effect as a major snowstorm struck Copenhagen yesterday and temperatures plummeted. President Obama landed at the summit today amid snow falling. Denmark’s Meteorological Institute said that the nation may have its first white Christmas in 14 years.

Now, as delegates and world leaders are set to depart the summit when it ends today, weather in the United States is affecting travel plans for many. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office has said that the Congressional delegation would leave ‘several hours’ earlier than planned to beat a major winter storm set to hit.

The Gore effect isn't new, climate sceptics have been following this strange weather pattern for years.

Washington Times

The Gore Effect was first noticed during a January 2004 global warming rally in New York City, held during one of the coldest days in the city's history. Since then, evidence has mounted of a correlation between global warming activism and severely cold weather.

A year ago a congressional media briefing on the Bingaman/Specter Climate Bill was cancelled due to a cold snap. In October 2008 London saw the first snow since 1922 while the House of Commons debated the Climate Change Bill. That same month Al Gore's appearance at Harvard University coincided with low temperatures that challenged 125-year records. Tellingly, the average global temperature for each of the 366 days in 2008 was below the average for Jan. 24, 2006, the date Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" was released at the Sundance Film Festival.

Gore supporters whine that the Gore effect is nothing more than coincidence. After coincidence. After coincidence....

Plagued by climate skeptics pionting out that climate change is cyclical and caused by solar activity, it seems now that the very forces of nature have turned against Gore and his followers. The old addage "it's not nice to fool Mother Nature" comes to mind. Apparently it's not wise to lie about Mother Nature either.

If nothing else, the Gore Effect proves that God has a sense of humor.

Perhaps we could use the Gore Effect to our advantage.

Let's send Gore and all of his climate change alarmists on a one way trip to the Poles. We could send half to each pole to discuss how global warming will kill us all.

With all of them concentrated there, the Gore Effect would cause the polar ice caps to return in all of their grandure in no time flat.

On second thought, That might be a bad idea. With the Gore Effect concentrated on the poles it could trigger a new ice age.

Might be worth it to get rid of all those blowhards though...

I can’t really say that I believe in God doing this – because I don’t really believe in God. But it does seem like some sort of karma.

Al Gore is a viper: a self-righteous snot and hypocrite who believes he knows all the answers for you to make your life better. Some of the answers just aren’t for him - because he’s better than you. He is truly the worst type of self-anointed messiah that humanity can produce.

Maybe it’s God’s hand, maybe it’s karma, maybe it is but a coincidence. I’m thankful for the ‘Gore Effect’ whatever the cause. The problem is that pious scum like him are too dim to see the reality in their faces.

He is just like a medieval inquisitor; torturing people in the name of a God of love. Al Gore will gleefully put you on the rack to prove his beliefs. Beware him. The more his ilk are proved wrong by facts and truth, the more violent their reaction will be. (See Galileo, Bruno, et al)

Be it God, Karma or Mother Nature, whoever is doing it isn't happy.

It's fun to see Gore dissed by the very planet he's trying to "save".

Anyone any temperature data for Copenhagen during, and either side of the conference?

With all the CO2 released in such a small area, some change must be notable??
