Hey all,

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I think it's worth a look.

3-D BIO PRINTER

Invetech, an innovator in new product development and custom automation for the biomedical, industrial and consumer markets, today announced that it has delivered the world's first production model 3D bio-printer to Organovo, developers of the proprietary NovoGen bioprinting technology. Organovo will supply the units to research institutions investigating human tissue repair and organ replacement.

Ah, I knew someone was working on it already, saw this technology in the documentary "2057", in the first part called "The Body", worth a watch!

At 2:20 you can see the printer.

Great Tech

yeah this is very cool stuff!

I first saw it a few years ago,
on wired science i believe.
and they were 'printing' (literally printing) out organs. lol
one was a heart valve they were printing, and I cant remember what else...
but it prints just like a laser printer for a PC. lol, crazy.

they were also talking about using some tissue from pigs to regenerate limbs on humans.
their first goal was a finger tip, then an entire finger.

been a few years, almost forgot. lol
good post, thanks!

Hey hey awesome stuff! Thanks for the videos.

It's good to see this technology finally hit the commercial market. I know I'd feel a bit safer if this was common place in hospitals around the world.
