Hey guys, this just happend, I was heading for some smoke, and when I looked outside, all the lights were grabbing air, pointing way up in the sky like beams.

I am not alone seeing this, my children saw it too and asked me what it was, I said : Sorry , have no clue.

This wasnt lights coming out of thin air going up in the air, it was the Street ligts, lights from apartments and airplanes.

Just after it went away, I saw sparkling in the sky, like 'glitter' infront of a lamp.

Have any of you seen this before ? I have live right here for almost 12 years and never seen this.
I know that searchlights gives off beams of light, but there are no searchlights here in my neighbourhood...

Must have been an exciting experience. Come on ATS'er where was your camera?

Did you find any local news of any events in the area that might be tied to it?

Lately, I've been wishing for an experience of my own.

Nice job spotting the light pillars too. I'd love to see that in real life!

Thanks Oz. Those are nice shots!

I nearly managed to catch a beautiful display of sun-dogs and upper tangent arc a couple of weeks back, but by the time I'd gotten my camera and driven to somewhere with a good view, clouds had already hidden the display!

Nice pictures
but this was at nighttime, at it was all light sources on the ground were stretched upwards in the sky, some lights actually begann high up in the air..

I saw a samelike thing last night when I was driving home from work after dark.
Some sort of white 'light beam' that started in mid-air above the treelines ( from our view)and went all the way up in the sky through the clouds. It must have been miles away because we kept seeing it almost all the way home.
Both me and my husband have no idea what it was, it was to broad for it to be a laser beam and it looked as if it came down not up.

No I didn't have a cam on me and wasn't even going to post on it, till I saw this topic.
I'm in Belgium so it wasn't Northern light. I also didn't find other reports on it in my area.... and that's suprising because it was so clear visible and other people must have seen it aswell.
