Iran protests reported 'unlawful attack' by US Navy in Persian Gulf

According to that protest letter, two vessels from the destroyer USS John Paul Jones with a total of about 20 crew members "attacked a fishing vessel sailing under the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran" within the country's exclusive economic zone.

"After illegally searching and fingerprinting the crew of the vessel, the United States crew opened fire on its fuel tank, causing the vessel to catch fire and sink," the letter said. It did not say what happened to the Iranians who were abo...

The Americans have kidnapped the hapless crew of an Iranian fishing boat, and blown up there ship.

It goes to show the patience of those Iranians, since this happened way back in September! Unlike some countries, that just want to pre-emptively attack and kill right away...

I'm having a hard time finding any other report about this other than JPost.

Should we just chalk it up to the fearmongering or is this a legitimate report?
