Time calls Ben Bernanke "mild mannered Economic Overlord."

www.time.com

The story of the year was a weak economy that could have been much, much weaker. Thank the man who runs the Federal Reserve, our mild-mannered economic overlord

So Time names Bernanke man of the year, and Obama is the peace keeper, who cares. I'm more appalled by the fact that Time is calling him our "economic overlord."

This is just plain disgusting, there's nothing really else to say about that. What did you think? Whatever your view, or if this has already been posted please remove. I just want people to know that along with being called man of the year, they are using the term economic overlord. Geez.

Blue is black. War is peace. Up is down.

Here are some of Time's other awards:

Nicest Man in the world: Dick Cheney
Most anti-semitic: the ADL
Family Values award: Tiger Woods
Best invention: kosher ham
Greatest Humanitarian Acts: the health insurance lobby
Most Believable 9-11 Conspiracy theory: George Bush

P.S. Apparently Time understands finances less than I do

What do you expect from a magazine that declared:

Adolph Hitler, Man of the Year Jan. 2, 1939

This is ridiculous, but them again Time always selects those who have had the most influence on the world in the past year, whether it be positive or negative.

The fact that they write about him in a positive light, really shows how they are attempting to prop up the Fed as something positive and something required for real sustained economic growth.

It's truly disgusting.

Perhaps the "Audit" the Fed bill's recent steam gain is really scaring them and so this is the response?

Honestly though, if you think about it, without Hitler's grandiose let's kill and take over the world viewpoint later on during his rule, he would have been seen today as one of the greatest leaders of all time.

Along with Stalin.
