ATLANTA — Hundreds of thousands of swine flu shots for children manufactured by French drug company Sanofi Pasteur have been recalled because tests indicate the vaccine doses lost some strength, government health officials said Tuesday.

The recall is for about 800,000 pre-filled syringes intended for young children, ages 6 months to nearly 3 years.

The shots were distributed across the country last month and most have already been used, according to the federal government's...

The most interesting part of this story is 1.) they are the pre-filled syringes, which are the thimersol free ones, and 2.) they are advocating multiple doses again.

Very concerning since the incidents of swine flu are falling, I think it is to create an artificial shortage.

Question for the vaccine experts, does the strength of a vaccine usually decline in such a short amount of time? Even without the thimersol as a preservative, I imagine that they should last longer than a few months.

People on ATS were swearing that fishyness was going to happen with the vaccines this winter. Time will have to tell though as to this being a way to cause an artificial shortage.
