I would say most people who use ats, would be able to get past there filters. If it ever came to something like this, i would think ats would keep going, as long as its on a server somewhere.

The more they push against the hacker, the more the hackers will push back. Simple as that. This is stupid.

I remember looking at the leaked document that had a very long list of "illegal websites" it was to block..

The thing is 90% of the list was free pornographic sites. It seems to me Australia Government really has it against adult material.

Which can be a good thing and a bad thing I would imagine.

Yeah, go figure...Blood & gore & rotting human bodies are "ok" on TV & the cinema (even if it's faked for the sake of the cameras), but any appreciation in the natural beauty of a human body (that hasn't been hacked to bits) is forbidden...

After seeing what the censors are willing to block, it makes you wonder what kind of "family values" that they have at home...

What self-respecting data engineer would lay claim to 100% accuracy?!!!!!

That's just begging for a fight.

You mean, they want us to PAY for porn?

I guess if we had to pay for it, that would make it much more lucrative business, after of course they advertise the hell out of what they provide.
Let's monetize human sexuality even further!

It won't go away.

On another note, Censorship, another reason to hate pedophiles, even though they are really just a scapegoat for hiding government secret corrupt plans and hidden agendas.

Yeah, we all know it.

The Men Behind The Curtain

Based on what I've seen, there really isn't anything to worry about, as long as the ACMA doesn't

NOTICE: Objectionable content removed pursuant to regulations of the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

And so, to summarize the last six paragraphs, as long as they don't do that, Australians can rest easy.

As a data engineer myself, I can tell you that you are right. 100% accuracy my hairy backside!

There's no such thing in my experience.

Im sick of governments, stupid insane laws and rules!

Not just you, but a lot of people are getting sick of it...That's why governments are pushing to get themselves armed & ready for a violent upheaval. They know they're ticking off a lot of people, yet they still continue repeating the same mistakes that governments have always made throughout the course of human history. I've heard that a good description of insanity is to keep doing the same thing the same way, failing every time, but still expecting different results...

Please keep in mind that, in the context of this post, the "government" in history could have been the Secular Government, the Church or even competing Merchant Companies engaging in "trade wars"...It's referring to the "dominant ruling power" of the time & country.

For some strange reason, governments always seek to quiet the Voices of the People, disarm the People, stage massacres of the People. And they still continue to think that the People will just fall into line under the threat of force. It may work for some period of time, but eventually the People lose their patience...

One of the other most frequent mistakes they make is in the "building of empire." This is how it's always worked out: Some government gets into mind to conquer somewhere else. They succeed & expand a bit. Maybe pausing long enough to consolidate their new gains (& sometimes not), the government grows bigger & more oppressive. As an empire gets bigger, it's always the People who suffer from these "growing pains."

Since governments do not produce anything of inherent value, they keep sucking more vitality out of the economy to keep growing bigger. As the "burgeoning empire" begins to show signs of a declining economy, the government must "expand the empire" again, to inject new life into the economy; This is why they'll say, "war is good for business" or maybe "good for the economy."

Usually, an empire can only grow as big as fast, efficient communications technologies" allows, as the centralized government must be able to issue orders quickly over increasing distances to the "frontiers" of the empire. Yet, every time communications technologies get more efficient, the population at large always figures out how to continue communicating too, so the empire-government has to start clamping down on public means of communicating. Still, no matter how hard they try, People still find ways around the government's censorship.

Once enough People are well & duly informed exactly how bad the government really is, history has shown to take one of two (very similar) paths at this point.
#1: People still don't get up enough backbone to throw off the oppressive government, in which case allows the government to get more restrictive & oppressive. As government controls have to keep expanding, the government keeps sucking more out of the economy. Net result, the People wind up so weak that the empire becomes ripe for foreign invasion...From another would-be empire-builder. Scratch one empire, in favor of another.
#2: People get fed up enough that their patience wears out & revolts...Sooner or later, a revolt succeeds. Scratch one empire, followed by a period of anarchy until some jerkwad gains enough popularity & support to try building another empire.

Just take a look at history & this is the way it has always happened.
I've posted a (brief) rundown on human history here & everyone is free to do their own research in history to confirm (or debunk) the amount of research invested in that thread.

Tyranny always takes the same path (usually starting by corrupting "free" nations from within) & always fails. The reason empires based upon tyranny always fail is because they begin gaining power through corruption & that very same corruption eats away from inside of tyranny. In essence, Tyranny is the end result of some people harboring the desire to expand themselves at the cost of others, due to personal greed.

So take heart...No matter how much an empire based on tyranny may try to suppress or censor communication among People, there will always be a way around it. For example, the Public getting a grip on the internet! At first, there was no censorship...The governments involved in censoring the internet is finding that there are always going to be People more savvy with this new form of communication than they are.
"Dammit, Jim! I'm a Politician, not a Hacker!"

In a way though, the internet has been of great aid to tyranny too...Instant worldwide communication right down to the personal level, one-on-one contact. Since communication technologies got this sophisticated, that allows the "empire" to expand by having efficient communications worldwide. Without the internet, the NWO could never truly gain the whole world!

Yet, by the force of history, even a tyrannical empire that encompasses the whole world is just going to keep growing a bigger government, sucking more vitality out of the worldwide economy, until...You guessed it! It will eventually collapse on itself.

Why? Because when the empire already has the whole world, where will they expand when they've sucked the economy dry this time? It's already been proven through experimentation that humanity can't even establish a self-perpetuating & limited eco-system of any kind...So terraforming whole moons or planets is out of the question. Without faster-than-light travel (or communications), anywhere outside of our own solar system is also out of reach of their tyranny.

At best, they may be able to establish some resource-gathering contained within our solar system (mining the asteroid belt outside of Mars orbit, for example), but without terraforming, it will be too expensive & dangerous to make it practical...They'll have sucked the economy completely dry, long before such ventures could be established with efficient supply lines to maintain them.

So, as insane as "they" are, they still expect the NWO to actually perpetuate...It may get established, but they'll never be able to sustain it. This is due to the "mistakes in history" they keep repeating. Humanity will eventually reach a level of "social evolution" to slough off these jerkwads. No matter how much they try to suppress it, we do continue to evolve...It's the Laws of Nature.

This is why keeping the internet as free as possible is so important...We can't let them take our communications away from us in this Information Age. Throughout history, tyrannical governments have always relied upon controlling who can have access to what information to keep the reigns of Power; Yes, they want the masses to be ignorant. This is just as true today as it ever was. With the internet, the People have an unprecedented amount of free access to information on a level never before seen in history...Individuals can literally connect with nearly any other individual nearly anywhere else in the world. The impact on the ability to understand each other, despite different cultures & languages, is the single most important factor in humanity's social evolution. This may drive humanity to eventually form a "one-world" society, but with knowledge & understanding, it will be consensual, not forced...Tyranny only knows force, while People crave understanding.

I doubt many engineers would make that claim, that sounds more like a claim from a bureaucrat who doesn't have the engineer's understanding that 100% is rarely achievable.

That claim raised my eyebrows too!

To publicise this issue www.news.com.au... the 25th - 29th January has been marked as internet blackout day www.itnews.com.au...

Essentially what a number of sites have done is apply a script to their site that publicises this plan & provides links to how Aussies can take action. Heres an example of the script in action www.trustport.com.au...

I for one will be leaving the script in place well past the 29th. Screw our marxist government. Next election I will be voting Liberal for the first time ever. As much as I hate the Libs, Labour needs to be shown Australians wont put up with such a blatant infringement on our civil liberties.

I posted a thread before about a classification by the ACB that I thought was absolutely disgusting that subsequently got deleted.

My point being the authorities that will create the standards for this can't be trusted. We need to take a stand against this.

The US NEEDS to put pressure on Australia more than it does on China. It is more of a threat to American freedom of speech when it's allies go down this route than a communis authoritarian country.

Say no to censorship before the very discussion is censored!

Yup i was watching that thread, don't know if it got carried away after i posted, but expect more [snip] coming our way.The Australian Government is [snip] and also will try to [snip] the people [snip snip snip].

So i believe that if we try to stand up for our rights online there will only be more [snip].

(thought I'd self-censor here,just to give the fledgling OZ-Stazi a helping hand.)

Depends on which side of the fence this guy came from

www.cnn.com...
But in all seriousness, censorship on any level is the door way to MORE censorship, We ALL already experience censorship in each of our countries to some respect, wether it is shadow gamers burning info off the net before it can become truly public, or outright censorship as we are having by the filter laws being cemented.

We have ultra-right wing and christian fundamentalists in the senate and house of reps at the moment, who are probably wearing hessian under-garments and flagellating themselves over this success.

Bloody perverts.
