Obama grades himself "a good, solid B-plus" (Grade the president yourself.)

Why was there no F option? he's an obvious failure, well he's failed the people, and deserves an A+ for serving the elite.

A+ for his skills in continuing bushs illegal violence for the war profiteers
A+ for his lying skills
B for acting
A+ in torture, kidnapping, and drone assassination
A- serving wall street
A+ towing the establishment line

And an honorary masters degree from the "International clowns of death" institute.

I gave him a D all across the board... but he needs to have an A for screwing things all up as he has...

At first, I thought obama the destroyer was joking when he said he'd give himself a solid B. Then you realise that he actually thinks he's doing a good job, this boob actually thinks he's doing good. Maybe if he'd stay in the US for awhile he'd see the damage he's doing.
I gave him the lowest score I could, solid D's all the way.

well....since we havent even reached midterms yet...school is far from out of session

but given how early we are, given the mess inherited, i'd say C+

He lost big time points by bailing out big banks and expecting them to return the favor.

He should have created govt guaranteed loans that could be issued to consumers in order to pay off debts...

But - he didn't.

He's not hitler, he's not satan, and he's not some harbinger of the NWO.

1. Look closely at his recent comments asking the big banks to help the recovery. This is simply another call for them to lend to people and business who don't deserve lending. It is in fact this same call by congress that led to this massive failure of an economy in the first place. When will this idiots learn that lending to people who don't deserve lending is the most idiotic and stupid thing any bank can do?

2. Look at his handling on the health care issues. They have dropped the public option. That was the central aspect of their bill. Once that failed they tried to lower the medicare eligibility age down to age 55. That also failed. Now all that's left in this crap for a healthcare reform bill is making healthcare mandatory, medicare cuts, and forcing the insurance companies to ignore pre-existing conditions. How will this help medical costs when insurance companies have to ignore pre-existing health conditions? This is going to mean higher premiums for everyone. I don't know how this bill can be any more rediculous.

3. Examine the war in Afghanistan. The current rules of engagement make victory literally impossible. You can't fire unless fired upon first, no night time raiding of homes so on and so forth. If you're going to fight a war you have to fight to win. Apparently winning isn't Obama's plan in Afghanistan as he has also put restrictions on the 30,000+ troops he is sending. They will be gone in 16 months. How can you put a time limit on victory? All the Taliban would have to do would have 16 months of patience and then they could resurface. Constricting the arteries of war will ensure its failure just like the constrictions in Viet Nam did.

There are so many other complete failures by Obama that show his lack of leadership, horrible decision making, and failure as a president that it would be a daunting task for me to write about them all. I'm so pissed off writing about these three points that I'm ending it here.

1. Economy. Obama was stuck with a total economic collapse. By the previous President's own admission we had only a short period of time before we were plunged into a second great depression. He "fixed" the economy by taking your money and giving it to the big banks to prop them up. He said they were too big to fail. This economy is still well on its way to failure. When the realization hits that this prop-up is simply a farce to hide the truth we will get a chance to truly grade Obama.

Notice Obama's recent statements concerning the big banks he propped up. He is telling them to help out by lending more to small businesses and people. This is exactly what caused failure in the system originally. Forcing banks to lend to people who won't be able to pay back their loans caused this fiasco in the first place and now Obama is calling for it again............

2. The War. As Obama promised, we are pulling out of Iraq and re-engaging Afghanistan. We no longer have a policy of torturing our prisoners. We now have a very good idea about how much longer this war will continue. We have a proposed deadline.

Afghanistan is a joke. He sends thousands more troops which are constricted by insane rules of engagement and a time limit. How will this lead to victory? It's as though he is sending them simply so they can die a little while longer and he can say, "we tried". Where is his sense of victory over the Taliban and Al-Quaeda? Obama is doing nothing more than appeasing the American masses by sending these troops. He didn't want to send these troops for victory but rather political purposes.

3. Foreign Affairs. Obama fascinates the world. Americans have garnered international respect because of our bold choice of our new President, and affirmation of our true nature as a civilized country. Obama is a great orator, He has saying the right things. He has been able to dramatically change America's image.

He has fascinated the world by continuing the Bush doctrine in the face of a Nobel Peace Prize that he never earned.

4. Health Care. We are finally moving towards a health care system that is fair and just. We are finally moving in the direction of the rest of the world.

Fair and just? How? All we are getting in this crap bill is forcing people to pay for health insurance, medicare cuts, and forcing insurance companie sto ignore prexisting conditions........that's it........

Many people here will disagree with my above points. However, please take time to distinguish your thoughts from conservative media. Ask yourself where we were, and where we are at this second.

I think you need to look at why people might disagree with you. You should probably examine why you give a grade of perfection to Obama. You should examine motif and ask yourself, "Am I denying ignorance?"

We are experiencing a radical societal change – for the better.

By societal change do you mean we are becoming more socialist? Is that your idea of change for the better? I simply ask this for clarification.

It makes conservatives nervous and fearful. I understand that. But the USA is the home of the brave. Don't give yourself over to unjustifiable fear or irrational hatred or cynical speculation.

It makes much more than conservatives fearful if Obama's approval rating has dropped into the 40s within his first year in office.

What does being the home of the brave have to do with opposing idiocy? What is unjustified, irrational, or cynical about the points people are making in this thread about Obama's lack of leadership?

I give him a D- and I will also place him on double secret probation. If he keeps this pace up, Barry won't graduate from his Presidential Work Study program at White House University.

I never thought that we would have an intern running this nation. I think we are all feeling the effects of this man's self proclaimed B+. Funny, I told my parents I was getting a B in Chemistry when in fact I was on the verge of Flagging the class. I suppose it would have helped if I actually went to class back in those days.

Perhaps Obama could learn a lesson from that. Less TV air time and Less Healthcare campaign time Barry. Try spending more time in the office listening to the majority of people in your country.

I would give him F's across the board if I could, except on Afghanistan and Iraq, where he gets a D+. Overall? I'd give him a D-, or perhaps a D if I felt generous. He may not have kept some of his campaign promises, but I challenge you to find 1 politician in the entire world that has kept all their promises. It's one thing to imagine your life in the big chair... another to actually sit down in it.

I think any person elected president at this time would have a hard time getting any job done at all without harsh criticism; Economy in shambles, 2 wars, global climate change mess, and who knows what else is going on behind the scenes.

I gave him a massive raise from what should have been a C because he is actually trying to help solve problems from a global perspective. People and politicians have been solving their problems from their own personal perspective, or at least their national perspective, forever, and look where it's gotten us today. If more countries extended their arms of care to others, this world would be a much nicer and positive place.

Picture the schoolground on your first day of school... are you gonna go start bullying people around to be your friends? Are you just going to ignore them and make your own fun at their expense? Or are you going try to make friends with them to have a positive influence on your lives, the lives of the other kids, and the general atmosphere of the playground itself?


BTW... I'm pretty sure is Obama discloses ET presence to world... pretty much everybody's grades will go up quite a bit lol... except for that Z-... maybe an X if were lucky

Brilliant observation.

Obama doesn't listen to the American people, and by his own admission really doesn't care what the polls show.

Most dictators throughout history have embraced that exact same attitude.

The only people Obama listens to are those he surrounds himself with and they constantly feed him "good news" so he actually has a very jaded view of his job performance.

I'm sure in his mind he was being conservative and humble in grading himself a solid B plus... He didn't want to come off as arrogant, Inside I bet you he actually believes his grade is a solid A plus!

Over 100,000 grades in every category now, an overwhelming D in each, except in his handling of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, where 22% who graded him have given him a C... And I'm sure he would fail to see the sarcasm in that.

He doesn't seem to be doing much better here at ATS.

You can't do a report card on a website that supports republicans and has a complete bias towards them. Really? 80% give him a D?

Try a neutral website, then we'll see what the results are.

We have to settle for a slightly less bias than other sites. Keep in mind that Bias is in the eye of the beholder. Our nation is divided more now than ever. Good work Obama.

As soon as I saw that the poll was sponsored by FOX news, it was fairly obvious to me as to what "Their" viewers opinions were, as well as the likely results.

On a more serious note, I am looking at what most are complaining about with the POTUS. And looking back at history, this is not the first recession we've ever experienced in the US.

It also did not begin as Obama was sworn in.

Remember McCain's "the Economy is fundamentally Sound" campaign speech ? OR should I call it the Jedi mind trick ?

That was to make you believe that the economy wouldn't crash until this new President got into office !

I recall stating that we were in a recession here at ATS back in the fall of 2007 and now the official statistics agree that the recession began then.

All in all I foresaw this exact scenario occurring back during the presidential primaries and knew that we were going to have a Democrat in office, either a woman or a black, AND that the economy would tank soon there after.

AND furthermore, that they, either the woman or black winner would be subsequently blamed for it.

But let's look at where we are today. We have a CFR endorsed black fall guy Democrat in office ala Carter.

So, what you are really saying is that you are boosting his grade on the HOPE that he will still rise to the occasion and deliver the CHANGE he promised.

Further, you are applauding his efforts of foregoing the needs of the United States -- you know, the country to which he is actually President -- in favor of a global effort -- also known as the NWO.

So if you are rooting for a successful one-world government, you would then give him an "A" once accomplished? The more he moves away from helping the US and instead helping all of the other countries in the world the better?

As an American in the United States, I find that I want my President to work for me FIRST, and others SECOND. I am all for HELPING the rest of the world, so long as things at home are OK. I see no reason to send money to Afganistan to re-build their entire country when we could use a little re-building of our own. Again, I'm not saying screw everyone else -- but remembering that the people that put him in that giant chair in the Oval Office would be nice right about now. And yes, I have a problem continually paying ALL of their salaries when my fellow countrymen are losing their jobs right and left and nobody in this administration -- other than talk about it -- has done a single thing to create jobs. And further, if Obama's job plan works as well as his housing crisis plan, we can expect a whopping 4% success rate. PERFECT!
