Hey gang.
I had a friend of mine argue this with me the other day, and he came out with this little contemporary view of religion.
Here it is:
Religion is like a Trilogy of Movies.
The first is the Torah. (Judaism for those playing the home game)
The second is the New Testament.
The Third is the Qu'ran.
(The last is a little different. Like the 2nd never happened, Jesus is still there, but he's not the main character anymore and the messiah hasn't
show up yet.)
Here's how it goes down.
Jews like the first movie but ignored the sequels.
Christians watched the first two, think the 1st was a bit too "harsh" but still think you should watch them. And the 3rd doesn't exist.
Muslims like the third the best.
Mormons liked the 2nd one so much they started writting fan fiction that doesn't fit with any of the others.
(Ok that last one is entertainment.)
So that's my take on things.
Some may disagree, I think it's just some well thought out humor which is much needed these days.
Any thoughts? Which movie is your favorite?
