'Welcome to Obamaville' Sign Marks Colorado Homeless Tent City

I remember reading about the so-called "Hoovervilles" of homeless people during the great depression, so is this a sign of how bad things really are getting?

Is this also a sign of who the general population is starting to blame for their predicament?

Whatever, 'Hoovervilles' were the Republican's alternative to FDR's Social Security Program, just like 'get charity or die,' is the republicant's answer to real health care reform. If you think any huge majority is going to forget who is truly responsible for the economic predicament we are in, than you are going to be sorely let down. However, if you are right, and we do get Palin/Beck 2012, this country will get everything it deserves.

It's a shame they took the sign down.

Lousy cowards don't have the convictions to stick to their guns.

I think it is a sign of the times. But here is the other part that many people are waking up to, one being that when a politician makes a promise, more people are expecting that they make good on those promises. Obama may not have created this mess, but he did make promises to the country to get into office and now the country is calling in and demanding results, to which there are none that are being shown.

People have been living in tents since the Bush administration, since the economy collapsed under his watch so i find it strange they blame Obama for the existence of tent cities. While it is his responsibility now to turn help to fix it in his term, this blame of the cause over the existence of these tent cities is misguided.

Some part of the population may blame the man in power now for their situation, but then anybody in power would take automatic full blame for what is a crises that has spread over the years. It will still take a while for the recovery to go through as this was the worst financial crises since the great depression. The crises we experienced back in September of 2008 will take atleast afew years to come out of, regardless of who's president or whats what. Some folks simply dont want to understand that, and what to blame one person, or group. Their frustrations are understandable to a point, but their blame is not.

During the recession of the late 70's and early 80's there were a number of unemployed folks out in the streets as well. Folks fully blamed Reagan for what was a financial crises caused part by Carter, Ford and Nixon before him. Its always the person in power who takes full blame and thats the reality.

He could have done something different, something bold.. stepped up like a man.. not act like a unic, but that would be real "change".. something he only yammers about.

obama could have diverted some of the millions he gives away to other nations to help these americans. He could end the wars and divert all that money to these americans.

But he'd rather march with the clones and kill strangers, than feed US citizens.

Ya, bushtown just doesnt quite have the same ring to it.

Cheneysplace kinda pops though.

If it wasnt for the false flag wars, or the tax cuts for the rich,
or the big buddy bailouts, we would still have a viable country
to even worry about.
