Large Hadron Collider takes step closer to unlocking secrets of the universe

The Large Hadron Collider has taken a step closer to unlocking the secrets of dark matter as the atom smasher recorded its first high-energy collisions of protons.The collisions happened as the collider was put through test runs in preparation for full operations next year, according to Christine Sutton of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, or CERN.
Physicists hope those collisions will help them understand suspected phenomena such as dark matter

Sorry if this has already been posted , my search button has stopped working a long time ago


Seems they have kept the birds away long enough to turn this thing up a notch or two . As long as they don't go making any black holes that gobble us all up we may get some good science from this .

The article also includes a picture of what there censors were able to capture during one of there tests .
