Scientists expected to unveil the discovery of dark matter

Physicists have detected a particle of dark matter for the first time in human history, according to rumours buzzing around the internet.

Should it prove correct the finding would have an Earth-shattering effect on our understanding of how galaxies form.

A number of experiments have focused on finding Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs), which are thought to make up dark matter.

I am hesitant about "Internet" breaking news, not because i dont think this is where we will hear about these types of things first. More so because of the track record in the past of sensationalized stories being proven to be false.
If somehow by the grace of God this is NOT fake, and they have discovered Dark Matter, IMO it is the scientific discovery of our lifetimes, and possibly be the crowning achievment of this generation.
I wait to see if i can celebrate because this would be un-real.
