I used a report about people coming from Ontario because they have the best averages as far as wait times.

6 years ago a client gives me a funny look and tells me I have a lump

behind my ear , I make a appointment at my family Doc. He looks me over

sends me to a cancer speacilist the next day . He does a Biopsy , and a

few days later , I'm told the news and to check in on Thurs for a

operation, this was Tuesday. Operated on , had to spend 4 days in

hospital because I had a Tube Draining gross stuff into a bottle. Check out

Tuesday , and JUST TO BE CAREFUL, I do 6 follow up Radiation treatments

I good to go now, WOO HOO.

That is great news, I am happy to hear that all is well with you and that your experience was a pleasant one. Unfortunately there are many who have not shared you good fortune.

One example

O YA Final Cost .......... 48 bucks ( 12 dollars a day TV rental )

Ya we got it bad here

Once again, I have never stated that you are in terrible shape there, and I have never stated that our system was a perfect system. All I have said is that I would prefer to keep our current system, and reform it rather than adopt a socialist system.

You know what? Free health care is awesome! Of course it isn't free, but the way in which it is provided makes it feel like it.

Now one must consider, given all of the debate about health care going on down south, those five words that head this thread have got to be setting off alarm bells on K Street.

Here, on a predominately American site, are a group of fairly intelligent people who tend to think outside of the box...and they are being exposed to those five words: "Free Health Care is Awesome!!!", without the benefit of filtration through American media. No Glenn or Wolf to persuade them that Canadians are beating down American doors to try to find adequate treatment that doesn't exist in their Pink Paradise. And that is a threat worth literally billions of dollars.

Because, some of y'all simply aren't drinking the koolaide.

Which is why a number of us have been playing whack-a-mole with posters that pop up, provide the same list of right wing canards as their fellows...dictates that are generated by like-minded folks (or employers) to convince Americans that they cannot have what most of the rest of us do...and even so, they wouldn't like it very much.

Big Health would be foolish if it didn't, and luckily their source material is limited, so that when it hits the ATS bloodstream, it's pretty recognisable as just more propaganda. But presented by new shills...sorry...ATS members.

You see it follows a pattern...thread is launched, whether intentionally provocative or not...these gadflies come out...cite lobbyists, right-wing think tanks and biased sources...try to apply a Bravo Sierra-bludgeon to the issue of Universal Health Care...keep it up to the point of imbecility (you can't know what you are experiencing because I read different on the net!).

And when they reach the point of total incredulity and catch on that they are doing their own cause more harm than good...gadflies disappear. For now.

Lotta one trick ponies out there.

Well, excuse my musings...but free health care is awesome, and anybody who says otherwise has his eyes on your wallet...not your health.
