Funny I should come across this i was reading just yesterday somewhere on the net that there has been cooling and not heating happening in the last decade don't know if this scientist was being truthful or not but i just thought i'd mention this.

The same scientist that now claim the world has been warming since 1945 are also the one that claimed it was going into a ice age in the 1970s.

As someone who is knocking on a bit in years, I remember well all the shock and scare stories from way back, telling us that we were heading for another ice age. It's not like they can deny it, it's all there in archived news stories.

Back then though, there was little, if any, talk of it being a man made crisis, it was simply natural climate changes. In other words, they hadn't thought about creating, out of thin air, a mechanism for charging everyone for changing weather.

Can anyone help me, I'm pretty sure that we all know the warming trend of the 90s ceased post milennium, yet still some of these "respected" bodies are proclaiming this to be the warmest decade ever, this is the 4th warmest year etc?

What different sets of data are these clowns using?




Also, an article in the Times today covers the Met Office urgently asking as many scientists to sign a statement defending the "integrity and honesty" of global warming research, 1700 robots have signed, though in the article the Met Office admitted that "many of the signatories did not work on climate change"

Sounds a bit like the IPCC and it's 2500 Climate Experts being signatories to, and supporting, it's AGW report. Except less than half have any scientific expertise at all - some are staffers, others just happened to be in the lobby at the time etc
Hell, they even used the names of real scientists who had resigned from the IPCC in disgust, who had to threaten legal action to have their names removed from the report.

They are really having to circle the wagons now. Not only in the climate sciences, but in other fields too. After all, if one bunch fudges the figures to support their "theories" and secure funding, then what other groups are doing the same?

CLimate Change (global warming) is the ultimate agenda for control freaks, those with desire to increase global governance (and end national sovereignty), people who feel guilty about living in the west (they should be on bended knee giving thanks), etc- it is so nebulous and caveated with things such as "there is a 50% chance if we do this it may not work" etc, soooooooooo many get out clauses it isnt real


I buy the times every day, even though it seems every other story is crowbarred into climate change (and they have a dominant pro AGW orthodoxy on that paper)

loved an article yesterday though, it was talking about polar bears eating cubs as evidence of global warming (wtf ?!?!?!), this was the rather nice closing bit though

Why cant people at least TRY and understand what is being said - 99.999% of all the denial crap is from people who simply have not bothered to understand what is being said.

The entire premise of Global Warming is that we should be entering a period of global cooling, as predicted, the fact we are not is what is so bloody alarming.

Frustrating to have to deal with people who wish to deny AGW but don't even have the FAINTEST idea what it is.

In the 1860's Scientists believed that the earths atmosphere was the same consistency throughout... 30 years later they discovered (Thanks to Leon Teisserenc de Bort) that the atmosphere actually consists of layers!!

In 1876 many scientists believed that the earth’s core was solid rock. 30 years later Richard Oldham discovers that it’s actually a liquid core. Another 30 years pass and Inge Lehmann discovers that it is not completely liquid and in fact has a solid iron centre surrounded by liquid iron!

Whenever a scientific discovery is made, it is normally at the expense of pre-existing theory!

What does the OP prove??

Unless, of course, you do not believe in the Troposphere and Stratosphere... Or that the earth has a liquid iron core with a solid iron centre!

.........and you can then appreciate that the theory of AGW will be replaced with a new scientific discovery (which may very well already be there if the fanatics can remove their blinkers )

Actually it seems like it's the pro-climate change advocates that are flat earthers.
