WASHINGTON — Representative F. James Sensenbrenner Jr., a Wisconsin Republican, toured a prince’s vineyard and castle in Liechtenstein and spent an afternoon at a ski resort in the Alps — all at the expense of a group of European companies.

Representative Danny K. Davis, an Illinois Democrat, got the dignitary treatment when a big donor flew him to Inner Mongolia to lobby for a new medical supplies factory in rural China.

The Congressmen and women who accept lavish gifts from lobbyists don't belong to just one party. It seems almost all of them do.

But how do you find out if your Senator or Representative is being wined and dined by special interests? They're not going to tell you if they are.

Even electing all new Senators and Representatives probably wouldn't solve the problem.

We all know that our government is in the pockets of their corporate masters.
