A man who skipped bail in Sydney while awaiting trial for the shooting at Lakemba police station has been arrested in Lebanon on terrorism charges.

Jamal - a devout Muslim and father of one - has already served time in a NSW jail.

You are naive to believe that Islam is only a religion. If it were ONLY a religion we would not have many if not most of the problems we have with it. Islam is a total way of life..religion, government..everything. They are intent upon imposing their total way of existence on the entire planet.

Just as Catholicism is intent on imposing their total way of existence on the entire planet. Everybody wants to rule the world, the only difference is, does anyone agree on the way to rule it?

My entire point is the exposure of the propaganda campaign. All sides of a conflict pursue a propaganda campaign against the other side. They dehumanize the other side of the conflict, ignite fear and ignorance and try to skew their side to the other. This is what you have deliberately represented here. A reproduction of the propaganda you have received, and have bought into.

Unfortunately since there is no way to negotiate a settlement in a religious war the only time there is a winner is when one side or the other is totally eradicated. The Islamics are well aware of that... we are still asleep. It is time to wake up or die.

Instead of thinking for ourselves, researching for ourselves, asking questions from sources, we readily accept the propaganda campaign that our governments and our own religious leaders feed us.

It's the people that push these religions that are the danger, it's the governments that propagate and protect/demonize these religions that are to blame.

People that need to wake up are the people that accept hate as a way of life. People that need to wake up are people that let organized religion as the absolute truth. People must think for themselves, and not allow propaganda on either side to influence their judgment.

Religion can be a great, if used the right way, when it is used as a tool of propaganda it becomes dangerous.

In the next verse The Meccans are given four months time to set things right otherwise a declaration of War and coming to verse [9:5], the complete verse is

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, Most merciful." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 9, Verse 5

Hence if you read this in context we know that this statement was made in the battle field. Critics often fail to quote with context. Infact in the battle the Qur'an Commands that a person who seeks asylum should be escorted to a place of security.

If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 9, Verse 6

I agree with you we should not be posting crimes committed by one group of people.
The problem is we have many Jewish communities and have never had a problem because they understand and respect the law of the land as well as many Christian communities.
The difference is the Islam communities do not respect the laws of the land in which they reside and that is were the focus should be not the crimes in which one individual commits no matter his or her backround.

Yes, Bombeni, Dock9 also referred to this same incident (which I suppose answered one of my questions, but none of the rest). I was not aware of this incident, but yes, it is very horrific.

I get the feeling that you're very unlikely to find any source (muslim or otherwise) that would condone what happened. I doubt you'll find any sane muslim in a scholarly or religious position who approved of what happened.

However, just because these attacks were carried out by Lebanese Australians, this doesn't mean their "muslimness" is at fault, or Islam is at fault. When a Mara Salvatrucha gang member (mostly comprised of Central American immigrants in the US) commits a crime, do people blame Christianity? No.
However, the moment some hear the word "middle-eastern" or "arab" in connection to some crime, they start extolling the evils of Islam.

Yes, I looked through all the links you provided. A one or two were reliable news sites. Most were blogs with an anti-muslim slant. Thus you answered my question with the response about a gang of lebanese-australians who went on a horrific raping spree (before being caught and brought to justice).
But not the question about the 9 year old girl. Or the shooting of a police station by muslim gangs (I'm pretty sure the Lebanese-Australians didn't shoot any police stations), or the boy who claimed he was held defacto hostage by his father as his father repeatedly had babies which he used to fund his apartment complexes.

A sane muslim in a scholarly or religious position? Their teaching and their religion is the very thing that allows for this to happen. If a girl is even raped, she is shunned by her family, and sometimes killed to regain the family respect.

The situation with the muslim female is horrible, but many of them are so indoctrinated with the "scholars and religions" that they accept it fully.
