Answer : They both left office with dignity . I fully respect the way Bush left White House in a dignified manner if not his policy decisions . Oh BTW I like your new avatar .

Actually you are on to something, when Obama moved right from far left I was shocked a bit. It was just a Glen Beck said he would.

Neither party is really in power......I know that and I will finally tell you something that will shock you, I am NOT a republican.

Obama was groomed as was Bush as was Clinton as was Bush.

Reagan was the last REAL candidate

I guess we will need to wait and see after 4 years as to who permanently corrupts the Constitution. After Bush I see it still intact, but I’m not so sure after these next few years. Unless Obama pulls a rabbit out of hat I don’t see him going a full eight, and the scary part is this was predicted and many conservatives have suggested that the lost of four years, 15 trillion dollars and a good chunk of our freedom will give them the next 12 to 16 in office… not a bad trade off by their measurements.

Just because you don't like the war(s) and the way the economy turned out (which happens just about every 20 or so years) doesn't mean that the leader in charge is a Satanic, power-hungry dictator, and just because they came from a Muslim heritage on one side of their family and are trying to pass a few policies to actually go through with the campaign promises you people elected him on, doesn't mean he is a Muslim socialist.

Don't get so caught up in the ATS hatred pool of anything remotely authoritarian. Just because they are in charge doesn't make them instantly evil. Obama doesn't bother me as much as those he puts in power round him. I actually think he is not as extreme left as people may think, though many in his close circle may be extreme.

Much of this I feel is because being a black liberal at some point in his younger political days he needed connections and ultra left pulled him in as most likely his only choice. That is why when you look at many people from his past associations you wonder what the hell.

I'm curious. Is there a point to this thread? Well, other than to bash two political figures?



Pick any political leader from the History books. You will find that each and every one of them had their critics. From Adolf Hitler (I think he had the most ), to Lady Di, to Nelson Mandela, to Queen Victoria, to King David... and so on. There will ALWAYS be someone that doesn't like what you do or how you do it. You'll find it in the smallest office. And you'll find it in International Politics. It's human nature.

Can we move on now?
