This is from YOUR article about combusting playgrounds:

Mark Carlston, president and CEO of Forest Wood Fiber Products of Lake Elsinore, Calif., said that such combustion is possible only if poor quality material is used. He said there could be a problem if the wood fiber contained lumber such as plywood with flammable resins or glues or if it contained "green waste," which is ground up tree trimmings or similar vegetation.

"If the material is made correctly, I would say that would be almost impossible," he said about the spontaneous combustion.

Do I really need to say anything more about this? This has nothing to do with global warming whatsoever.

bull

Do you think wood chips ever caught fire previously? Is this a new type of wood? Come on regardless of the material....you are going to say they made these playgrounds out of untested flammable substances? It is clear they did not test for the temperatures that were eventually reached.
The extreme heat cause these wood chips to become tinder just like the forest and brush fires that have broken out all over the country claiming huge tracts of land, impossible to control. Are you going to blame those fires on this material?
How many people have lost their homes in California and Florida...hell last summer and the year before it was hard to find places in the US on the nightly news weather map that wasn't on fire, and for the past 2 years, I am going outside in the summer smelling smoke all season long....
I suppose this was just one long BBQ my neighbors were having.

you need say more...I am unmoved

.............due to FAULTY MATERIALS. Please read the articles you linked. They are saying that a heat wave -- typical during the summer in Florida anyway -- caused materials to catch fire because the materials were obviously faulty.

My friend, I think you have lost your way a bit.

Forest fires are a necessary response by mother nature to obtain balance. Period. Now, if we didn't have so many people here, less homes would be destroyed. But seriously, forest fires are an absolutely necessary process.

So, no...I don't think playgrounds and forests are made from the same materials.

Edit to add source and link:

The very foundation of fire ecology is the premise that wildland fire is neither innately destructive nor in the best interest of every forest. Fire causes change and change has its own value. Certain forest biomes benefit more than others.

Change by fire is biologically necessary to maintain many healthy ecosystems in fire-loving plant communities and resource managers have learned to use fire to cause changes in plant and animal communities to meet their objectives. Varying fire timing, frequency, and intensity produces differing resource responses that create the correct changes for habitat manipulation.

Since that's the case I think you are going to be one very happy fella in the not too distant future. So keep up the great work!

You do realize that at least two of the largest fires in California last year started by arsen. Yes, they spread due to drought and heat. However, they would not have caught fire if someone didn't start them.

Further, fire is not my friend. Nor would I wish it on anyone.

However, the meeting in Copenhagen is not going to prevent faulty playground material and arsen. Nor is it going to have any long-term affect on the increasing temperature of the Earth.

Well, that's not true. If they follow through with the tax idea, less people will be able to afford food and a home. I guess less people would help combat global warming -- and arsen.

Perhaps that's the motivation. Tax people to death. Less people = less warming afterall.

First of all I guess as usual the language "issue" comes to fall right into the argument, well let me tell you, this is not the first time and will not be the last one, after all been from a long family of Born American patriots that had died for this nation in the last century wars I am a born American, with a twist. My first language is not English, you know it happens, what you have to say about that one now.

Lucky me that have been able to see the world.

Yes; it is a nice accent.
Your contributions to these threads far out-weighs those of the jerks that are obviously attempting to throw the value of the information/insight offered, into nothingness.

Nothing to sweat/loose sleep about; people who condemn people for their own individuality without a valid cause, are obviously ashamed about theirs for a cause..

Lucky me that have been able to see the world.

I pray that is seW.. Keep up the gooD soldiering.

Ok.. Edit to add: Where are the American soldiers/enforcement, when it comes to the sincerity of the citizens you are suppose to be sworn to protect?

Are you little girls going to leave thesE people defenseless? Then we are from different places.. How about the rest of you? You didn't sign up to protect these sincere people with their sincere concerns?

No consequencE..

Thank you.

I find it so interesting when my grammar and vocabulary comes into question of my nationality, but what can I say, even with my education that is not in the USA (I am glad of it, because right now US ranks no so good when it comes to standards) still people put my nationality into question.

But that is ok, I come from a family of lasting patriots that have given their life for this nation so my children and I could have a better life but so far we has turn their efforts into crap.

I kind of welcome the attention.

That's because valid points are harder to fight than differences that people may not relate to. That's ok because people like ken"whoever she is" are simply attempting to throw the issue into a day-time drama show, that has nothing to do with the issue//OP/in reality!

I have noticed there is more of a trend designed to silence real input here on ATS recently; annd wish more of the soldiers would, "surface", rather than hide more deeply, because things aren't, "going their way".

In other words, kenwhatever fighting openly against true cause, which goes against humane, "natural affection"; which has everything to do with a, "humane" attempt to preserve the well-being of those we love, " for a cause"..

In other words you are not on a conspiracy sight because you think everything's ok; You are here because you are seeing to some degree the, "implications" of what the movements being made in the world actually imply..

Lol. There you go; choosing the red pill!. Again; choosing the path less traveled may not be the easiest; however apparently, it will usually be the most rewarding on eternal terms.

You know that, because of the love you have for those who move your heart. So you instinctively know who/what is a threat to those you love, and who/what is not..

Obviously, when they have nothing to come against you with in reality, they will resort to name calling and accusations without a base..

Oh and, as far as your standards go marg6043!? You're not not on topic? it's your accent?

Forget the jerks that try to turn your input into off topic insignificant/childish remarks.. Like I said: Keep up the good soldiering/enlightening.

But what would disinformation specialists like ken-whatever have to do with-out ATS?

Edit to add: Sorry; but some people are very ignorant, or very ignorant.. Which is it? Kenochs you do know this is a conspiracy site?, or are you here to make us believe our beliefs are un-acceptable?

No consequencE..

Thank you.

Hey, everyone, fight the fight. Keep at these people that cannot see the very people they complain about ALL the time have not changed their attitudes on this issue.

C'mon CTers, do you actually think that TPTB care about you?

Really?

The largest tax in the world's history, the largest takeover of the world economy and the largest CONSPIRACY ever and the members here on ATS are saying that TPTB have your best interests at heart.

Tax and Control that is all it is.

Anyway, Google Church of Climatology, ATS article is numero uno.

You are very kind with your words, with the same kindness you treat others you will be treated.

Thank you,

I know people have a hard when facing a reality that doesn't fit in their point of view and interpretation of facts, but that is the way of human individuality, also the way of free thinking, you just try to enlighten those that wants to be enlightened the same way that I have no problem receiving lessons from those that have something to teach.

Is OK to be humble.

The thing is that while we humanity has been given this beautiful earth to do as we wish, because we are now the dominant species, earth will do what else does, nature will find a way, when they get tire of our species they will take care us.

But that goes against religious believes because after all when it comes to religion we are suppose to be special.

But that is another story.

I find it interesting that the media is absolutely douched with pro-climate change propaganda immediately following airing of the barely-covered story about the hacked/stolen emails that reveal deliberate fudging of climate change data. Anyone else?

Okay, I am going to have to brake out the Bible as quoted by Hansen as he came off the mount.

3 different temperature charts released at 3 different times by the Prophet Hansen.

Explain the changes over the 3 charts please?

So, you have a solution to greed and profiteering, please share with us, because that is one littler secret I want to know, if you are not spending millions on lobbying then you are getting nothing done.

Remember the obvious care and free will you have for the so call fixes to "to earth problems" and humanity are not the same fixes and free care that the groups in congress, yes both side anti Climate bills and pro Climate bill have in mind, no lobbyist are spending millions of dollars on having bills passed for nothing in return.

That is the way of politics and greed.

The ultimate irony is that newspapers are one of the biggest users of chopped down trees. They should unite to eliminate newspapers for the sake of the environment, now that would be a story.

I think this media blitz is going to backfire on them. People are already PO'd at what the governments of the world are doing and now this is going to send alarm bells ringing off in peoples heads. I mean seriously 56 papers? Talk about pulling out all the stops to push an agenda. This is ridiculous.

56 papers out of the thousands of newspapers in the world? How many of those papers have you even heard of? How many of them are there per COUNTRY? I would hardly call that a media blitz! You people have your sensitivity scales turned up so high with regard to global warming that you'd attack an old woman for using an umbrella at the beach on a hot day.
