Al Gore is just a muppet following instructions. It's good to see that he must take all this flak for his master's lies.

It's funny in "An Inconvenient Truth" how he pretends how silly it is to worry about "gold", yet he made heaps of it through his scam.

Al Gore Backs out of Copenhagen Global warming proponent Al Gore has backed out of the Copenhagen conference meeting that starts on December 7th. He was going to give a lecture about his new book "Our Choice", but he backed out on Tuesday. Tickets could run over $1200 to attend the lecture, meet Gore, and have pictures taken with him. Danish newspaper Berlingske reports that "Cancellation comes with regard to unforeseen changes in Al Gore's program for the climate summit." Links from VisitCopenhagen.com have been taken down regarding his lecture on December 16th. They did not inform anyone of the cancellation, they just took down the page without explanation.

www.shortnews.com...

I wonder why the over lord of climate change would back out of the hallowed Copenhagen summit? I guess we'll never know. My guess is that he is trying to figure out a way to make himself less hypocritical. S+F! Great thread.

I guess there were scheduling conflicts.

He has to start packing his belongings and head for that house in the non-extradition treaty country we all know all politicians have set up.

An inconvenient truth, Al Gore’s energy consumption more than 20 times the national average

According to Al Gore and the “An inconvenient Truth” website www.climatecrisis.net, “Most emissions from homes are from the fossil fuels burned to generate electricity and heat. By using energy more efficiently at home, you can reduce your emissions and lower your energy bills by more than 30%.” He also lists a series of recommendations on how you can reduce your consumption of electricity and fossil fuels for heating, such as, "Use a clothesline instead of a dryer whenever possible." and "Replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb (cfl)." And of course he leads by example, right? According to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research (TCPR), “Gore’s home consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year.” “Gore’s heated pool house alone uses more than $500 in electricity every month.” Gore's website states "The average American generates about 15,000 pounds of carbon dioxide every year from personal transportation, home energy use and from the energy used to produce all of the products and services we consume."

Yes, on a couple different sites Facebook, MySpace, the fans of this asshat justify it because Al Gore being the Pope and all of the Church of Climatology, he is making an impact that is having an overall less carbon footprint.

Using the weak minded amongst us pisses me off.

Yes, that was another long winded claim by the biggest liar in modern history. I may actually have to start an anti-Al Gore Facebook and MySpace page.

You know endisnighe, if this were a conspiracy site one could easily conclude that you're pimping for the oil corps ... IF this were a conspiracy site.

Edit to clarify ... As explained later in the thread, I am NOT suggesting that you are doing this by intent or agenda, I am simply trying to convey that they (oil corps and special interests) merit equal scrutiny in this respect.

Some may, but the oil companies do not need me to pimp for them. They win either way.

I am sure they have invested in the carbon credit companies.

Endisnighe, calm down, you're going to bust a blood vessel ...

First of all, as you are well aware, the only thing I said on the subject is that I have no horse in this race ... moreover you know that I think this whole gw is a distraction. Also, you know that as far as I'm concerned, whether the "green" industry takes my money or the oil/coal industry does it changes little. The only way to minimize the pain, is in my opinion to consume less of either/both ... which incidentally also would help us better coexist with nature and each other.

So whatever you call that position, that's what I'm pimping for, and there's no "consume less and wisely" lobby, of that you can be sure. Furthermore there isn't a single post in my posting history, as far as I can remember, that defends the mmgw position, so if I'm shilling I'm doing a terrible job of it.

Incidentally, even though you seem single mindedly obsessed with the subject, I never said you were speaking for the oil corps as a shill intentionally ... my guess is that it's a position that you feel strongly about the topic and happen to have made your last few threads about it.

Still, whether intentional or not, that is actually what you're doing. But only you know if that's by design or consequence. I never accused you of the former, so please try not to bite my head off just for making a simple observation ... lest of course you wish to compound the perception by being overly defensive.

I couldn't help but notice schrodingers dog. You seem to take the whole man made planet warming scandal with a grain of salt. You seem to believe it is a diversion of some sort. You even try to imply that it is not a conspiracy at all and try to make people feel as though they are silly for even delving into it.

You know endisnighe, if this were a conspiracy site one could easily conclude that you're pimping for the oil corps ... IF this were a conspiracy site.

Mmm, so these hacked emails drop out of the sky a couple weeks before the Copenhagen thingie and the "ptb" have been caught with their pants down? Which ptb would that be? Sheesh, this used to be a conspiracy theory site back in the day

I respect your opinion and it does matter to me. You made my friend list a while back because I love reading your posts. These particular ones have me baffled though. What's up?

I don't know how else to explain it ...

I have no problem with folks getting to the facts of the matter, in fact I encourage it. But the facts must be understood in greater context. One of the posts you quoted was me pointing out that it might not be an accident that these emails found their way out just before the meetings. Shouldn't that be pursued or considered?

One of the main arguments I keep hearing about debunking mmgw is to protect ourselves against cap and trade and tax and the greenies taking my money, well what the hell do you think has been happening with the fossil fuel industry for the last century? What, we don't pay taxes on that, we don't get shafted there? Come on now!

So yes, when I see folks ignoring this fact and debunking mmgw without caring about the other side or the bigger picture I get either frustrated with their lack of consistency or skeptical as to their motives.

So, all things being equal, it's just my opinion that it makes sense not to piss in our drinking water and live in harmony with our planet.

That's what's up from my end.

Endisnighe, calm down, you're going to bust a blood vessel ...

Yes, I will try to calm down on this reply, but I will not calm down on this issue.

The largest tax proposal in the history of mankind. Cap and Trade.
The largest takeover of business in the history of the US. Cap and Trade.

Also, you know that as far as I'm concerned, whether the "green" industry takes my money or the oil/coal industry does it changes little.

This is not an-either-or situation.

Do you think if this passes, the oil companies will not still make their money?

How about countries like Saudi Arabia that make the huge oil profits, do you think they will make less money? They have already been promised their blood money will be paid.

Now, as for this being a small tax on us small people. Name me one thing that does not require energy to be created in this world? Name one.

In the US, for every family this new TAX is going to cost the average family of four $3700/year. Now that is a conservative estimate. I will not even bring up the government propaganda numbers.

This whole thing is a farce and anyone that backs the CO2 lie is a shill in my eyes. Maybe not their complete fault but still backing the Globalist Agenda.

edit to add-explain to me how Carbon Credits will stop the things the two videos that you posted? Oh, it may be that the Huge corporations need more money to pay their blood money. Is this how you expect to make a difference?

One more thing, my anger, threads and posts, do you assume that this is helping the oil companies agenda?

edit to also add-SD and I buried the hatchet-in TPTB back.

I see what you mean. Let me offer a different perspective for you to consider. Sun power is a free source of energy. Wind is a free source of energy. There are others but let's stop there.

These power and banking conglomerates were about to make us pay dearly for providing energy to us in the form of green energy that is much more expensive to devise. It's friggin free. Think about it.

They systematically over time pushed the whole global warming thing in our faces and made us feel as though it was our fault for needing this dirty power. Then in come the knights in shining armor with there "green solutions" to save the day because we need saving from our putrid selves and offered pricey carbon credits to those who needed to make themselves feel better.

So let's all pay for the free energy and always be reminded that we almost killed all the polar bears.

I don't disagree with any of that, in fact I wholeheartedly believe that cap & trade is a terrible idea on all fronts ... including the getting screwed by the ptb front and not actually doing anything to improve the way we treat each other and our environment.

Thanks for taking what I posted seriously. The thing is, I believe that we don't need the ptb to improve how we treat eachother or the environment. I believe that without them, things would drastically change for the better and they know it.
