Day Fourteen and Counting

mrc.org

Alexandria, VA – For the fourteenth straight day, the three broadcast networks have failed to report on the great and growing ClimateGate scandal on their weekday morning or evening news programs. How to explain this?

Perhaps it is that ABC, NBC and CBS have not yet heard of the story, despite two weeks of non-stop reporting on and discussion of ClimateGate in a whole host of media outlets.

Hard to believe the big story about ClimateGate is that the major news medias won't cover it!

They're delivering copies to NBC, CBS and NBC by bicycle so as not to upset their environmental sensibilities!

“Ignorance is no excuse under the law, but maybe we should stop criticizing and start showing compassion for NBC, ABC and CBS and their neglect of the huge ClimateGate story. We are more than happy to help rectify their knowledge deficit – via a network-friendly source and in an as environmentally-friendly a way as possible.

Me thinks they are not reporting because they take orders from the same entity that gave the orders to fabricate the weather data. Covering the story would be like double crossing your boss. Ya just don't do it unless you want to loose your job.

We "denier's" have them in complete denial right now!
How "cool" should we store them?
They only want to report the Hacker's arrest. Good luck...it was Putin

ATS member Networkdude should chime in.

Tim Flannery, the Chairman of the Copenhagen Climate Council was interviewed on the radio this week...

When the interviewer asked him a pertinant Q regarding East Anglia uni and the data tampering, Flannery said this showed the sceptics "couldnt be trusted because they were thieves..."....

I nearly swallowed my cigarette....

It even has new terminology!

"Axis of Denial"

“The networks’ silence on ClimateGate is deafening. Scandal, cover-ups and conspiracy are the bread and butter of the media. Yet they have selectively and deliberately decided not to report this bombshell – or any of the incriminating details surrounding the scandal – because it goes against their left-wing agenda. To pretend this story simply doesn’t exist is damning to journalism. The so-called ‘news’ media are protecting scientists because it exposes their underbelly. That’s not journalism. That’s a cover-up.

Maybe, as large corporate entities themselves, the media corporations are invested in the carbon scam and would lose out if it all got blown away?

That would certainly explain their lack of coverage.

Um, is this article factual? I read about "climategate" in the USToday, which is about as main stream as you can get, and saw it on my local ABC affiliate's news program. If it hasn't been covered by the networks weekly news shows (60 minutes, 20/20, etc.) maybe it has to do with the amount of lead time those shows need. Not trying to defend them, just saying.

Well, Jon Stewart did a funny segment on it. It seems he admits in an indirect way that the global warming science is corrupt:

Jon has way of using comedy to communicate a truth.

Just a note:

I live in Texas. It snows in Texas. It's has snowed very far south almost every year around December occationally in January too. Snow in Texas is nothing new, especially from Austin, Texas, northward...it's a regular wintertime occurance.

On the radio yesterday coming out of Houston, a caller told the DJ to announce to Gore, "We've got global warming coming down in white blobs". LOL!

I was a bit disheartened to see the Daily Express write a small "out of the way" article about the Climategate saga in this weekends paper..HOWEVER, reading 3 pages along in the David Robinson aswell as the Richard & Judy columns they are very well talking about this and also agree'ing that its scandalous that MSM isnt picking up that climatical figures have been changed to suit "climate change" skeptics, rather than official statistics which prove there is no current Global Warming taking place thats a direct result of Mans Influence.

Seeing that Mr. Obama is not going to stay the full length of the Copenhagen summit shows that everything is running according to schedule.

The source article of this thread is sensationalist tripe.

I've seen multiple aspects of coverage of the climate data-shaping scandal in all the major newspapers as well as all three cable news networks within the past 48 hours.

Additionally, people need to realize the so-called "scandal" is, in reality, not what is being presented by the politically-charged punditry pushing the notion of fraud.

Calling all of climate-change research a fraud from this one incident would be the same as discounting Galileo's early work because his initial observations had the planets in the wrong order, and he shaped his initial data to confirm (as best he could) to the sensibilities of the Catholic church.

The globe is warming, there is no doubt. Man's contribution to the historic warming is in doubt, but we must be aware of the magnitude of the problem so as to prepare society for the ecological evolution of the planet. Categorizing the entire science as fraud based on the shortcomings of one group of researchers is not just short-sighted, it's rather ignorant.

It could be good and it could be bad, it all depends on your field of view
