Day Fourteen and Counting

mrc.org
Alexandria, VA – For the fourteenth straight day, the three broadcast networks have failed to report on the great and growing ClimateGate scandal on their weekday morning or evening news programs. How to explain this?

Perhaps it is that ABC, NBC and CBS have not yet heard of the story, despite two weeks of non-stop reporting on and discussion of ClimateGate in a whole host of media outlets.

It even has new terminology!

"Axis of Denial"

“The networks’ silence on ClimateGate is deafening. Scandal, cover-ups and conspiracy are the bread and butter of the media. Yet they have selectively and deliberately decided not to report this bombshell – or any of the incriminating details surrounding the scandal – because it goes against their left-wing agenda. To pretend this story simply doesn’t exist is damning to journalism. The so-called ‘news’ media are protecting scientists because it exposes their underbelly. That’s not journalism. That’s a cover-up.

Just a note:

I live in Texas. It snows in Texas. It's has snowed very far south almost every year around December occationally in January too. Snow in Texas is nothing new, especially from Austin, Texas, northward...it's a regular wintertime occurance.

On the radio yesterday coming out of Houston, a caller told the DJ to announce to Gore, "We've got global warming coming down in white blobs". LOL!

would you like to elaborate where that schedule might lead?

The source article of this thread is sensationalist tripe.

I've seen multiple aspects of coverage of the climate data-shaping scandal in all the major newspapers as well as all three cable news networks within the past 48 hours.

Additionally, people
need to realize the so-called "scandal" is, in reality, not what is being presented by the politically-charged punditry pushing the notion of fraud.

Calling all of climate-change research a fraud from this one incident would be the same as discounting Galileo's early work because his initial observations had the planets in the wrong order, and he shaped his initial data to confirm (as best he could) to the sensibilities of the Catholic church.

The globe is warming, there is no doubt. Man's contribution to the historic warming is in doubt, but we must be aware of the magnitude of the problem so as to prepare society for the ecological evolution of the planet. Categorizing the entire science as fraud based on the shortcomings of one group of researchers is not just short-sighted, it's rather ignorant.

It could be good and it could be bad, it all depends on your field of view
