Examples are sprinkled throughout. It can be a gray area though, I will admit. What is hateful to some might just be an honest opinion to another.

Ya, I appreciate that they're willing to address the issue and am not faulting ATS. I'm saying judging what is and is not 'hate speech' is ambiguous and subjective. As I recall, we have an amendment in my country protecting free speech.

Prezactly and excisely. It's important to address stereotypes, assumptions, presumptions and prejudice with a fact verses reality comparison...else they will remain. Personally, I'll take a few stereotypes of myself because not only are they good ones, but they're also true .

I personally think thats what makes it good.
If we all had the same views, attitudes and values.. it would be like a senoir citizens tea party.

Just because someone is sexist, doesnt mean I couldnt learn a thing or two from him about concept X.
Just because someone is racist, doesnt mean I dont agree with him on something else.

Infact, I find people with unique qualities to be unique for a reason. It takes a brave person to admit to their personal 'quirk', especially when its frowned upon.

But brave people are the people I like.

I'd offer that...

People weren't all that angry on any of those topics

Take last night for example, I go out to my favorite place and standing outside in a small town btw of maybe 60,000 people in 7 degree temperature is a guy wearing tiny little leather shorts with about 50% of his butt crack showing a cut tshirt and making out with another guy at 10:00 at night...

Okay, this isn't a red light district in Manhattan... the guys basically violating obscenity and nudity laws and it's a small town and allot of people are very conservative...

And i'm a guy who supports a persons right to be Gay

And Gay Marriage...

But I distinctly thought to myself... what if I had just come out of a movie with my kids?

It was offensive... it's not a gay bath house it's a little college bar... and your showing your stuff and making out in public... (and i never got what that whole act of flamboyancy was in the first place.... there MAY be a Gay gene but there isn't a gene that makes you act like weird mockery of women and show your can naked in public)

And I thought... I really wish this guy would get lost, I wish they would fine him or something, I wish I could confront him)

Not because he's Gay because he's rude to others and looks like a puts...

Maybe affirmative action isn't always cool, maybe you have a small business and want a family environment and you you all like Rock music on the radio and you have to hire the kid who comes in that might insist on playing hip hop 2 hrs a day and it's Just annoying, maybe it's just a persons life and you might want to enjoy it in a culture of your own... and being sued if you choose someone who's music and dress and life might not reflect the day you want to enjoy is kind of ridiculous.

Maybe people really don't hate or even care what anyone does in the bedroom, but like myself... get annoyed when some ones sexuality is portrayed or in drag in the supermarket or the street when they just and only wish to raise their kids and not expose them to things so young...

Maybe among a portion of Homosexuals there actually is a CULTURAL not genetic set of behaviors that actually is very, very annoying and offensive and wrong...

Let's say I have a like of Boobs...

I can't go out in the street and demand to grab womens boobs not can a person who might have a fetish for public nudity just run down the street and show their boobs...

So the guy last night with his rear hanging out... is untouchable?

He's fringe not me...

Most...MOST people are hetero, Most people go on to have families and kids... and Most people have respect for how they act in public...

It's legal to be into BDSM

But 99% of people into it don't bring there partners out in a gimp suit and leash to go to the supermarket

So Gay rights? maybe it's just over the top and making people mad.... dress like a man on Tuesday at 8 if your man stop being an idiot your not evil or wrong but it is really annoying

So maybe the Obama Hate and all the rest is not really Hate, maybe it's just leave us all the hell alone your the minority not me... maybe it just boils down to...

99% of the people here celebrate Christmas and not being ALLOWED to have Christmas in school or even in Walmart displayed as name because... 3 Muslim guys might be offended is ridiculous...

Maybe they really are just butting into OUR culture way to hard for ... in the end a % of people that is barely a factor...

95% of us are Christian Jewish Catholic and we have to alter our Work day, our speech, our holidays, our educational system....

For 5% Muslims or 2% Gays?

Maybe we just have, good reason to hate Obama... there's allot there... things he talks about...

like ending Summers off for the rest of American kids because 15% of them have terrible lives with bad parents in the hood... or compulsory service being taken from parents on OUR time with them....Taken AWAY to go do labor? How much time do you get growing up they want my summers, my holidays, weekends from my kids away from me...

Maybe when I might say

This crap will be over my DEAD BODY or THEIRS

Maybe I have a good reason. maybe I never actually hated anyone ever... until they stuck their nose into How I LIVE and maybe when the Butt kicking is dished out by me over it it wont be over Hate for anyone but rather their god damn annoying me for so long.

Maybe some of us Hate No one

Just are fed up...

With Invasions of privacy, controls on our culture, controls on our kids and education and being FORCED to be exposed to things we simply don't agree with, being made to live a different life than we want to appease 5% fringe groups

Maybe it just sounds like hate because we are getting angry... Over living in a NANNY STATE

Bottom line...

Why do my kids have to look at your Butt Crack? Because your Gay? I can't go to the store and see the word CHRISTMAS but my 5 yr old has to see you half naked Gay Crack? At Walmart.... That does make me want to Beat the hell out of someone... Not because I hate ANYONE or Any behavior because your rude obnoxious jerk offs who think your fringe movement matters more than 99% of people. It's not Hate it's rightful anger i'm bending my life over backwards for your behavior which in the end is really fringe...

And these are just examples... it's everything from what is taught in school as example...

Why is my culture being taught ONLY as some Hate filled oppressive thing in class to kids... it's ALL Slavery and Natives and the WORST and nothing of the Good... But Gay agendas, Islam is taught to be tolerated and certainly that culture is no more than 5% and right NOW 100x more oppressive in actuality than the Judeo Christian faith is in daily life, they Throw ROCKS at gay people but WE are the bad guys in school, My kids should hate their own culture? Their Race? Their Religion?

Why?

And be taught the values of Atheism, Homosexuality and Islam respectively?

Islam wont let a woman show her FACE and I have to watch some guys crack in Public and we are the bad guys????

And the Judeo Christian faiths are 10x better than Islam in regards to daily life and freedom...
