Earth could plunge into sudden ice age
Experts: ‘Big Freeze’ about 12,800 years ago happened within months

In the film, "The Day After Tomorrow," the world gets gripped in ice within the span of just a few weeks. Now research now suggests an eerily similar event might indeed have occurred in the past.

Looking ahead to the future, there is no reason why such a freeze shouldn't happen again — and in ironic fashion it could be precipitated if ongoing changes in climate force the Greenland ice sheet to suddenly melt, scientists say.

Starting roughly 12,800 years ago, the Northern Hemisphere was gripped by a chill that lasted some 1,300 years. Known by scientists as the Younger Dryas and nicknamed the"Big Freeze," geological evidence suggests it was brought on when a vast pulse of fresh water — a greater volume than all of North America's Great Lakes combined — poured into the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.

Rest of the story

Hi, news fans.

I don't want to "derate" the OP, BUT

we all know that WE MUST NOT TRUST the MSM !
Right ?

And being at it:

We almost all watch TV or read newspapers. . .etc. . .have
various "sources" for our infos.

ALWAYS VERIFY the source of your source.
I mean if someone else ( Brother/friend, etc. ) E-mails you a fact,
CHECK with him/her WHERE it comes from !!!!!!!!

Main stream media,
Main stream medicine,
Main stream energy, ( MOSTLY PETROL ),
Main stream pharma,
Main stream agriculture, ( The CRAZY Monsanto ! ! ),
! ! ! ! Main stream ANYTHING ! ! ! !

! ! ! They almost always LIE, because of $$$$$$$$$ ! ! !
Follow the money ! ! Remember ??

Can you imagine the "naivety" ot the persons trusting the test results
coming FROM the COMPANIES MAKING and TESTING the stuff ??????????
???? HOW honnest will the tests, and/or the results BE ?????

Blue skies.

I can see the headlines.

BURN BURN BURN to build the CO2 levels and save the planet.

The sun controls the global climate not CO2.

With the sun a close to solar lows the planet is cooling and the AGW people still have not seen the LIGHT.

That would be funny if it werent so true.

Seems like people are all too eager to start dumping loads of resources and effort into things they have no understanding about and in turn make things a whole lot worse in the long run.

I think we need a global movement of taking a step back, a deep breath and counting to ten. Ten bazillion. So by the time we're all done counting the Earth has taken care of itself and we can start counting until the next 'crisis' passes.

Better to be standing still and counting like a vegetable than mucking things up for our children's children's children.

The Earth is following its own geological clock.
The billions of people on this planet are just along for the ride.
The next ice age is on its way.
Spreading fear will not slow it down or speed it up.
Buying carbon credits will not slow it down or speed it up.
