Sounds like Professor Jones is being smart and simply getting out of the way while all the corruption is shown to us all through the hacked emails. Although, maybe it would have been smarter for him to leave before hand? Guess he thought they'd never get caught...?

Penn State University (close to home for me) is "looking into the issues raised in the emails" but who knows, maybe there will be a cover up? Actually I'm pretty sure some of this is going to get covered up and/or explained by some 'altercation.' And the sad part is, a lot of people aren't going to stand up in this situation and cause a fuss over it while really this is a big deal since OUR tax dollars go to the government and they spend a decent chunk of that cash on climate research - so now we are just supposed to say "Oh okay, they were just trying to make their figures work/sound better, we understand, heck we'd do the same thing!" Definitely not...
