I just visited "Filer's Files": www.nationalufocenter.com... and saw a report from a Dr. Richard I. Buchli in
which he claims that in a Martian photo he sees a 15-foot rectangle shaped opening. It took me only a second or two to realize that the dark
rectangle is NOT any kind of opening but the shadow being thrown by a 4-sided pyramid! The X was placed on the side of the pyramid being lit by the
sun.
I wrote George and told him of my finding. Here is the photo on Filer's website:
Mars Square Cave
This 15 foot rectangle shaped opening has a white ‘X’ to make the opening more visual from the air. 46 52’55.53”S 19 13’12.54” E Thanks to
Dr. Richard I Buchli

Sounds legit to me, although I am curious as to the evidence that can be presented that would illustrate that landmark as a big rock.

it does look like a pyramid...perhaps the egyptians had spacecraft and wanted tombs on mars for their cats. crazy stuff.

Well I must say, I cannot say it doesn't look like a pyramid.
How could he have thought that was a cave entrance?!
Good find man

I'm pretty bad ar spotting anything worth while in satalite images. tThis is pretty awsome. I tried to highlight the lines of the main structure
but I'm not too handy with paint.
I'm not sure how that could be much else other than a pyramid... I hope this gets major flags.

Well it is vaguely 4 sided but it doesn't seem very symmetrical and it doesn't have a square base.

You mean some advanced alien structure that is wide on the bottom and narrow at the top??? Must be proof!
[/sarcasm]
You beat me to it, on earth they are called mountians on mars they are called pyramids.
The anomaly hunters need some new lower res pictures to look through. You just can't find the good stuff when you can clearly see everything in the
photo.

unusually rectangle like but I think it is just a natural anomaly. Similar photoshopping was done on the Cydonia region to 'enhance' geometrical
shapes that we're really there.

After looking at that photo a minute, I really do see how it looks exactly like a somewhat eroded 4-sided pyramid would look like. Great find!

this is pure conjecture, but to me it appears the "pyramid" is on the point of a hill/mountain and there is a depression cut into it leading away
from the structure, like a path.
The giza is certainly pretty from above.
maps.google.com...,31.322&sspn=0.011459,0.01929&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Pyramids+of+Giza,+
Egypt&ll=29.976442,31.134825&spn=0.011468,0.01929&t=k&z=16
It appears to have the depression leading away as well, but perhaps that is something new. Or maybe it's an optical illusion and the depression is
actually a raised area. I'm sad to say I've never been to Egypt.

Obviously a government disinfo agent. How much are they paying you and Phage?
It's a pyramid damnit! And no amount or rational, logical thought, is going to change my mind! Next you'll be saying Hoagland's 'face' is just a
shadow distortion!
pft.

I don't think I would call them disinformation agents, McKyle, I would rather consider them folks with different interpretations of what the object
is. As for me, well I think it looks like a pyramid, yet am open to the possibility of it being a mountain or what have you. I like most rational
people are subject to a change of mind pending evidence. If someone can convince me that it is a mountain or at the very least not a pyramid then so
be it. However I do not think that pointing fingers and accusing folks of being disinfo agents is going to solve the mystery of truly figuring out
what that thing is.

Hi Nathwa,
Forgive me, I was being tongue-in-cheek with them, as Phage in particular gets accused and abused for allegedly being a dis-info agent.
Both the guys are stellar in my opinion, and I tend to be in agreeance with them on most topics.
I too, like your rational approach. If the evidence is there, then let's look at it! Best policy in my opinion
Cheers,
Matt

Indeed, my observations of numerous posts have led me to believe that those folks who take most things with a grain of salt, or prefer a very
rational, tangible approach to mysteries get harrassed alot, but such is the way of things. As far as gathering evidence, I am no specialist in
graphics, so we need someone with experience to come check this out. In the meantime, I am going to say it is a pyramid, with the evidence being that
it looks like one and the way it casts its shadow.

I looked on Google Earth and it measured it as about 17feet on its longest side (20 at the most). A rather small pyramid.
It also seems to lack a directional orientation with North or anything.

I myself don't know how to enter the coordinates properly so i had to manually scroll the map until I found it which was some challenge since it's
so small. About 20'x15'

If I had to choose between a pyramid shape or a cave opening I would say pyramid. I still have a hard time saying it's a pyramid though, the sides
aren't really well defined but I can see where you are coming from. Thanks for the info!
