That's all fine and dandy right now, and sounds real good. Its about where we were at on Sept 10th 01.

Bottom line, say we do exactly what you say, what happens when there is another 9/11 style attack?

Everyone and their brother will be ready to do it all over again.

Michael Moore has been looking into things deeper than most of his opposition, so this doesn't surprise me. He's not the party shill the media made him out to be.

It may be harsh but it is the truth USA has been the most self centric egoistic country and so is the majority of the American population. You know why most of the people are calling to get out of Afghanistan it is because majority of these people(who are calling to pull out f Afghanistan immediately)are not worried about how you leave Afghanistan after destroying it but because it is affecting the economy, in the end it comes down to it. You are not worried whether they live or die. You do not care what the invasion did to other country as long as it's not affecting your pocket. That is selfishness, accept it!

They simply didn't care earlier what was happening because USA had money. But in 8 years the first leader looted the country and now there is very little to none so USA is worried it does not have money to spend on luxury and burgers. While not thinking how 8 years of rummaging a different country can be fixed in 8 months!

What people don't seem to realize is that doing that AFTER engaging in this catastrophy that was this whole war ordeal, will only CREATE MORE of these fighters that the US is fighting there.

The kids in Iraq, and Afghanistan will grow up in a country that has been destroyed, and will in return grow to despise the people who done this to their nation.

People here don't care about anything really, because that is the mentality shown throughout this thread. PERIOD!

It's no conspiracy to think that those profiting from both sides (selling loans for arms and loans for rebuilding) of these wars are happy for the world to go on tearing itself apart. With one side being made to hate the other for [fill in the blank]. Reason is thrown out the window and animal emotions are stimulated so that we fight. We'll even fight until we can't fight any longer, while others sit back unharmed and enjoy the untold vast amounts of money and profit that death and destruction affords them. We're acting like puppets on a string and it saddens me to see the hate grown on either side. We need to questions things, start the healing, and step off this Moebius Loop of destruction.

great great post..thats what i noticed most in this thread,they donot care that people are dying,kids not having even a place for edu, their war is causing people starve and die..all they are caring is there is not that good health care in usa,their luxury life will end, and their life get different ....

My personal view of the war is this: The U.S. does not want to win, because they know they cant. History has proven that afagan is not a place you invade and come out with a "w". Many of you here may be familiar with the war on drugs, and trust me, the military does not burn the poppy farms that are abundant in afgan. This isnt a O.I.F (Oil Isnt Free), this so called war is meant to keep the "average joe six-pack" afraid.

Nobody cares about the war. Osama is what we were supposed be after and from what many of the people here believe we have had the chance to catch him. Itaf we do not catch osama in the next six months, the military should leave afgan,.

quite frankly we can produce and make everything we need right here in the USA we dont need them we can do it on our own.

We just surged in Iraq and it made a great difference toward ending the war. So now you think it's a bad idea to surge in Afghanistan? How could you not see the effectiveness of the surge? Have you been watching the news? If you want out, you have to stabilize before leaving or all is lost. Would you build a building for your business and not complete the business enterprise to profit? Would you leave the poor Afghans without a chance at freedom, respect for women's rights, education for all, etc. to remain backward for another century?

We went over with the right idea...create a climate where terrorists cannot grow. When that climate is complete, we can leave. It will be soon.

Transforming a nation takes ten years. They knew that when they invaded Iraq.

Your idea of removing troops from a united Germany is suicide. Why the h*** do you think we have troops over there now? For a vacation spot? Do you want that to take off again? Talk to the dead of WWI and WWII.

I'm not a general, I didn't go to West point, I don't have access to all the secret information about troops and terrorists so I won't make a call on whats right or wrong here .. or why.

But common sense says half measures are crazy. Either send lots of troops and do the job or bring the ones there home. Half done things are just a path to destruction. This reminds me way to much of Vietnam and I know that one way too well.

This half step is pure politics, nothing to do with the actual situation and politics don't mix well with war.

Don't like Michael Moore, but agree with some of his points, get the hell out of Afghanistan should be the priority.

As usual, though he peppers it with BS- he waffles about "ORWELLIAN"- it is him and his liberal/left ilk that would foister Orwellian nightmares on people with big govt and thought crimes

I know a thing or two about war, I fought there in Afghan and Iraq. I say its time to come home, The world hates America, so we pull our troops out of every country from Germany to S.Korea, The Middle East to the Balklands, Africa to Asia, we bring them all home.

After all of our troops our saftely home and on our borders, we then cut off the money supply to all nations, that money can be used right here for rebuilding our infastructre to getting our kids a better eductation.

Finally we tie in the price of wheat to the price of Oil, after all we are the worlds bread basket, so if America has to pay $80 for oil, then world has to pay $80 for a bushel of wheat. It all seems fair.

We let the E.U/China/and Russia decide how things in the world will run because quite frankly we can produce and make everything we need right here in the USA we dont need them we can do it on our own.

Its time to return to a simplier time while moving forward.

Dude, I have no idea of what thought you are trying to form here but a couple of first things first. Why should I feel grateful to any other countries for helping? Everyone committed to Afghanistan, nobody committed to Iraq without payment.

No one is dumping any problems anywhere and I have no idea where you gleaned that from my post. Noting that Afghanistan needs to be dealt with is not dumping problems on any one.

The shock and awe broadcast is about Iraq, Afghanistan is a sniff and scurry job and always has been.
